Store Manager Brian lied to my face and told me I had to have extra damage and liability on my contract when I told him I never had it before he told me it was THE LAW and I could not opt out of it. Well after reading that it was optional on the website and speaking with customer service 800 # I find that it is TOTALLY optional and the man lied to my face to weasel a additional 20$ a month from me. Completely unacceptable and lacks the integrity I would expect from a Store Manager. The man even refused to remove it when corporate called and told him to remove it so they escalated it to the DM and I am currently waiting on a call back.

Was extremely excited to actually have our own couch but Rent A Center has made this whole experience terrible! Admittedly there was some miscommunication in the beginning of renting but they ALWAYS, ALWAYS have gotten their money! We wouldn't be down to just 7 payments if we weren't making the payments... yet they STILL come to our door to harass us about payments. Recently my husband had a $40 credit or something, that he decided to use for our last payment to save $40... they were at the door the next day like a whole payment was missed when it was literally some credits they gave us. I am SO glad to be almost done paying off our couch and computer, both are just 7 payments left. I'LL NEVER RENT FROM RENT A CENTER AGAIN and would say to others just be careful, they come to the door harassing for any amount missed, even if it was credits they gave you. Don't use it!

I'm renting a washer and dryer right now and the washer stopped working almost 2 months ago. I called and they set up an appointment to have some place come out to do maintenance 2 weeks later. They NEVER showed. I called RAC back and they told me it was my job to contact the company to come out which seemed odd. I tried multiple times to no avail and had to contact RAC AGAIN. They tried setting up another appointment which surprise they still never showed up or contacted me. Fast forward almost 2 months ( I've been paying for a broken washer this whole time ) I had to finally tell them to bring me a different one and that I did not want this one. I had tobwait 3 more additional days. I finally get the new one and asked about a credit for the $200+ I paid on a broken washer and they only gave me 2 weeks. Why is it that businesses can ( AND WILL ) rip you off like this. If you have any issues don't count on Mike to do the right thing even though this all fell on him as store manager.

I recently went to this store to try to fix something for a handicap resident of mine. It could not be fixed. They went out of their way to help me. They gave me a replacement for free!!!! The entire staff was friendly. I haven't seen generosity like this is a while. So glad I met them. I paid it forward! Thank you!
