Absolutely terrible experience with Rent-A-Center. They massively overcharge—by the time you’re done paying, you’ve spent nearly double what the furniture is even worth. It feels predatory, especially for people who are just trying to get by. I was only about two weeks late on a payment, and instead of acting like professionals, they showed up at my house banging on my door like I’m some kind of criminal. Completely unnecessary and honestly embarrassing. It got worse when I decided to return the couch. One of their employees had the nerve to say—word for word—that it “smells like piss.” Meanwhile, the manager is in the background telling them that’s not appropriate to say, which just shows they know how unprofessional their own staff is. For the record, that claim is false. I take care of my home and my furniture. I have pets, but they are trained and not allowed on the couch. Any smell they thought they noticed was not coming from the furniture. After paying thousands of dollars, this is the level of treatment I get? Overpriced, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional from start to finish. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Filled everything out and no call back nothing. Only an email about a bill, even tho we don't have anything of rent a center's. Poor customer service follow up.

Ray and James have went ABOVE and beyond for my fiance and I. So much that we both had leases with them because they were wonderful! Their install team for our washer and dryers were extremely quick and reliable. We had an issue with our couch cushions made incorrectly and for months ray went back and forth with the factory and went on to sending replacement coushion covers and a tech to correctly install the Velcro. My fiance and I are definitely using them again here soon! We both have just paid off our previous leases and are waiting to chose something we love and need.

The manager on vandyke and riverland in Sterling Heights Her name is amber. She has been very helpful. And does a great job she should be commended for her work in your company

Idk about all locations but the Sterling Heights store is amazing. Very friendly and Professional. I would highly recommend this store. Amber, Brittany, and Brandon I've delt with and have always been treated with kindness and respect. I can say that matter to most but very much does to me. Thank You All
