What you can rent here

Rent-A-Center is a national rent-to-own chain with 1,948 stores across all 50 states, reaching communities from Lawrence, Massachusetts and Kissimmee, Florida to Harlingen, Texas and Booneville, Mississippi. Stores carry furniture, appliances, electronics, computers, mattresses, gaming, and smartphones on flexible weekly or monthly lease agreements, and like most rent-to-own stores they typically do not require a traditional credit check. Rent-A-Center holds a 4-star Google rating across more than 152,000 reviews. Compare Rent-A-Center on VRTO alongside other rent-to-own stores near you, with hours, ratings, and what each carries.

This is the worst store in the world. The delivery Guys are the only great thing about this store they are kind and understanding but as for Greg and Conor they are the absolute worst they are rude and very disrespectful. They rented to me and my wife a couch that was ripped and scratched they discussed this with us and it wasn’t that bad we were in desperate need of a couch so we accepted the deal because they gave us a discount. I let these guys know I work a job under the table and would pay in cash if I didn’t pay on they day I was supposed to when the store opened they would call me 8 times then my wife while at work about payment in which we payed and when they called they were very rude we got tired of the rudeness when my wife’s uncle passed and they called us at his funeral saying we care about payment me and my wife made a decision to give the couch back to them because of the lack of good customer service and human decency. We found a better couch and bigger one for free. We let them know they could come get the couch me and my wife even moved it out the house and carried in the garage so that they didn’t have to do a lot of work to get it out. When we called they were so much more nice about things and wanted to continue to do business with us after they were just rude a day before and said if we can’t be on time with our payment then they don’t want to do business mind you our payment was paid up and not due. When they came to pick up the already torn and scratched couch The manager stated we drag the couch that it wasn’t there when we got the couch even the driver told him no I delivered this couch and it was there Conor (manager) continues to argue with me trying to say we damaged the couch that was already damaged he stated he need to make a decision if he’s going to take it back or not after we let him know we had places to be waisting our time I told him if he doesn’t take it it’s going to be on the side of the road with a free 99 sign on it then they took the couch. If the managers had an ounce of customer service like the delivery guys this would be a great store but their respect for the customer is horrible and I don’t recommend this store to anyone at all. If I could give a 0 stars I would.

This location has always been honest and up front. They have been WAY better to me than their main competition Aaron's ever was. They've worked with me on deals and hunted down specific items for me. The credit manager and store manager especially have been stellar.

The customer service person in store was nice (Ethan). Everything else about the experience was pretty bad. First, we wanted to rent weekly since we only needed temporary furniture and weren’t sure how long we’d need it. Unfortunately we were told we could only do a monthly agreement since it was a “short term rental”, and had to pay a month in advance. We paid and scheduled delivery for the next day. The day of delivery we the delivery was 3 hours late and had we not called to check the status they would have not notified us and showed up whenever they did. Delivery was ok, the guys were kind and polite. The couch was dirty, likely not cleaned after the last rental. After 3 weeks we scheduled a pick up/return of the furniture as we no longer needed it. We ended up paying up for a week we didn’t use, nonrefundable. Again, we were told what time pick up was and an hour after the scheduled window we had not heard from them. We called the store and were told that the truck was running late and would be there in an hour or two. A little over an hour later the driver called and said he be here in “10 minutes”, another hour passed. We called the store again and were told “they should be there”, though they were not. We were then told the driver went to the wrong address and would arrive soon. They finally arrived a few minutes later to pick up the furniture. Hours late, and no communication from the store. I’ll likely never return there or recommend anyone.

If I could give zero stars, I would. TERRIBLE, rude customer service at the Leominster location. They allowed my friend to exchange an electric mountain bike without my authorization (I had the contract with them and was making the weekly payments, not her). The first bike’s brakes didn’t work properly and she almost got extremely injured while riding it. The second bike would only ride about 10 miles and then die on a full charge. It was also rusted and the headlight broke the first day she took it for a ride because the previous renter must have rigged it. Also, the first bike was more expensive weekly than the second bike. Rent-A-Center continued to charge me the same amount every week out of my account and wouldn’t reimburse me when I returned the second electric bike. I am very disappointed and will never rent anything from this company again!

I couldnt give a zero star review or would have.has anyone heard of the term domt judge a book by its cover. Well, I was fully approved thru rent a center for one of there products. I make over a grand a week and it was gonna cost 20 bucks a week. Everything was done ready to go. They found out i lived in a hotel and told me they cant sell to me. If i recall i was FULLY APPROVED THRU RENT A CENTER. No matter what there terms r if there employees feel like u shouldnt get it they will refuse to sell to u. Ridiculous company wasted days of my time for nothing. I have lived in this hotel for the past six months and no matter if u got a dollar or 1 million dollars on u they will judge ur book by ur cover. Not recomended at all.
