Edited to add: Photo’s of the damage to my property from the employee, who not only didn’t leave when I told him to get off of my property. Who proceeded to call his manager, while walking around in my yard, yelling in my windows. The pictures are added to show the damage he did with his vehicle to my yard. Now that’s trespassing, and destruction of property. For a payment that’s not even considered late yet. Just filed a police report against this store. Shows up the day my payment is due. And when I told the employee to get off of my property. He called the manager and was walking around in my yard on the phone with her, yelling in my windows. Michelle is literally the worst person in customer service I’ve ever met. I’m still debating on going to the court house and filing formal charges for trespassing. Only thing stopping me is not wanting to ruin that employee’s life, for doing what his manager told him. Showing up at my door when my payment isn’t even late is ridiculous and uncalled for. I already called corporate for a second time on this manager in the last 6 months. Less than 6 months actually. To make a complaint against Michelle. If this treatment continues, I will be pursuing a lawsuit against rent a center.

So I have rented from rent a center in the past. I purchased a refrigerator and a washer and dryer. Both of which I paid off, and still own to this day. I started an agreement either late November early December on a computer because I work from home. So now we have this big snowstorm coming in this weekend. My payment is due tomorrow. Well I placed a grocery order on instacart for today, my pick up was changed to Monday so I canceled the order. I call rent a center to let them know that I MIGHT not be able to make my payment tomorrow, because I have to wait on a refund from instacart, so I might have to take the money I have for my payment and buy groceries to get us through the storm. That if I can’t pay it tomorrow I will on Sunday or Monday once my refund is back on my card. She really said they’d come get my computer. Because I might not be able to make my payment until a day or 2 late. Because I want to make sure my family has groceries to make it through this snowstorm. I thought maybe after all these years they’d have new management that actually cares about their customers, boy was I wrong! Their tactics are still the same I see. Be super nice, go out of their way to fix any problems when starting a new agreement. I mean she went out of her way to keep me as a customer when I said I wanted to cancel my agreement because they sent me a computer that wouldn’t stay on. But when I call about possibly not being able to make my payment the next day due to a snowstorm, she didn’t want to hear it. Zero accommodation for customers. Because you know if they take my computer because of maybe paying a day or 2 late, I can’t work. So come Sunday or Monday when I make my payment, and they are unable to bring it back to me because of the snow and ice, I’m just screwed and can’t do my job.
Was 3 days late on payment and they showed up and the man that showed up was respectful but his manager called him and was screaming at him and threatening to fire him. This was very unprofessional of this location. I felt awful for this employee! Obviously I have been a long term customer of RAC for over 15 years and I will be changing locations as fast as possible!

The people made us feel comfortable and were very helpful with picking out my new living room furniture. The delivery drivers were awesome and made sure to deliver my couch with the most care.

Update: I wanted to revise my initial review. The manager reached out and made the situation right. The delivery team was professional and courteous. I appreciate the follow-up today! -------- I never leave reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough that I feel like I have to. I was skeptical about using Rent-A-Center, but they promised quicker delivery than Home Depot—or at least that’s what I was led to believe. Now, this decision is costing me both time and money. I left work early to be home for the scheduled delivery, but no one showed up. Not a single update, no call, nothing. Customer service—any service—should include basic follow-up and clear communication. If someone had simply called me before I left work, I would have 100% understood. Instead, I was left waiting with no explanation. They had no problem taking the money out of my account immediately, yet now I have to go through the hassle of getting a refund. At this point, I feel like I was told whatever just to make a sale.
