Rent-A-Center

I have used the Seymour Rent-A-Center location as an Amazon return drop-off point on three separate occasions. My first experience was disappointing. The employee working the counter, a larger gentleman with dark hair and a beard, did not greet me when I entered. He appeared to be training another employee and, while assisting me, pointed directly at the trainee and demanded that he come over so he could demonstrate the process. The interaction came across as disrespectful to both the trainee and me as a customer. My second visit was handled by a different employee and was a positive experience with no issues. Unfortunately, my third visit, which occurred today, was once again unpleasant. Although I was greeted, the employee's tone and body language were unwelcoming. Before I could finish saying, "I just need to return an Amazon package," he interrupted me with, "Hope the return label is for Rent-A-Center." There was some confusion regarding the package and what he was seeing in the system, and throughout the interaction his responses felt dismissive. When the issue was resolved, he repeatedly said, "Ok, ok, ok," in what came across as a snarky manner before placing the label on the package. At this point, based on multiple negative experiences with the same employee, I no longer feel comfortable using this location as an Amazon drop-off site and would not recommend it to others. Customer service plays a significant role in the overall experience, and I hope this feedback can be used to improve future interactions.

I would give a NEGATIVE 5 stars if possible. This was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had. I attempted to purchase a gaming laptop and never heard back after completing all paperwork. I ended up calling them and they said I would need to go through another location because their district manager said so, but they didn't understand why (the other location was in fact FURTHER away). I call the location further away in Columbus, IN and they also tell me... I would need to go through the other location which is THIS location because they are closer. I explained that they had told me the opposite and the district manager had informed them of that... They then tell me, no, the district manager is here, she said you would have to go through there. I CALL SEYMOUR LOCATION AGAIN, they said that's weird maybe she changed her mind, we will call you back. I end up calling them back after almost 2 hours, I get hung up I call back AGAIN and they tell me I have to put my boyfriend on my paperwork, or they won't rent to me? Again, reason was, I don't know why, that's just what she said. I work, fulltime, had the same job for 7 years, gave creditable references, and was treated like crap for NO reason at all. I had never gone through Rent A Center, this was a first-time experience and never again will I attempt to get anything here. Save your money and time, these people have no common decency and have no clue what customer service is. Absolutely shameful.

The guys working when I got my son's lap top were super awesome and knew I needed something the same day. I came in 20 min BEFORE closing and they still managed to help me get the perfect laptop the SAME DAY!! My son was so surprised and happy. Super easy buying experience too.

They have went above and beyond to get what we wanted. Very pleased with the service they provide. Would recommend them over any other company.
