Rent-A-Center

Ordered 2 twin beds with frames for my girls. Was told it would be delivered on a Thursday between 1-3pm. Took off from work to be home for the delivery. Waited around only to call and find out that they "accidentally" gave my beds to the wrong person (other lady was supposed to get bunk bed mattresses, mines were regular). Lady said they would fix the next day, and if couldnt would call to let me know. I never got a call. Was supposed to be fixed today (tuesday). I called to verify delivery would happen, cuz now I have trust issues. Ally (the girl who gave beds to wrong person) said she would contact driver and call me back. Waited 30 mins and I called again. She says lady who has my mattress isn't answering phone, so they need to get more from hilo for me, and who knows how long its going to be until gets delivered to my home. I've had 2 emotional breakdowns from my experience with this store, sending me into a bout if depression (I have manic depression). If there were other rent to own options, I would not shop here ever again. I've now missed 2 days of work for nothing because someone wasn't paying attention in the store. And it feels like all they can say is "oops sorry" AND tomorrow is my birthday, but now I feel like shit cuz my kids dont have a proper bed. Thanks for making my week awesome, kona rent a center. You guys rock! #sarcasm

We’ve been loyal customers with RAC for over 6 years, and only now, when we faced a hardship, did they show their true colors. We returned our iPad and mailed it back after being told we had to pay full price due to a small crack on the screen, even though we paid for a protection plan thinking it covered accidental damage (it doesn’t). I was the one they always communicated with, but as soon as I called them out on this, they suddenly made me “unauthorized” to speak, even though I was the one handling everything. We also sent a money order to pay off our final balance on a couch and asked them to close our account immediately and mail a paper receipt. Instead, their team started showing up at our home, banging on our doorbell, even when we weren’t home and our kids were alone. This is harassment and completely unacceptable. The manager “Mo” and his staff made what should have been a smooth closure into an aggressive and stressful experience. They clearly target and take advantage of low-income families, then try to intimidate them. After 6 years, this is how they treat us. Never again. I recommend anyone thinking of renting from them to pay full price somewhere else, it’s not worth your peace or your dignity.

The woman who has helped me has been awesome. Super nice, knowledgeable, helpful. She provided a 5 star experience without a doubt. I cannot recall her name at the moment but hope her boss reads this and recognizes her for it.

Do not recommend, there slogan “we’re here to help you” is a complete lie. I would not recommend anyone else coming to rent-a-center as this company does not help there clients.
