Bubba and Phillip did an excellent job delivering and setting up our shed. This is our third shed from Southern Building Structures and we are very satisfied customers. The salesmen have been great also. This time it was Johnny who worked to get us a quick delivery.

Run from this company. If I could give them a 0 - I would. Please go to Lowes, Home Depot or get a small loan from a credit union and use a different provider. Better yet get a small loan from your credit union to avoid them. They have a new owner and its worse than before. As other reviews state; it is true, they are charging 50% and above interest on the units. After their hidden fees, late fees, draft fees, and fees (2-3 yrs after) you will buy a $4000 Unit and pay $13K after all said and done. They charge for the Unit, their "Rental To Own" Formula, and the fees is where they make bank. The product is quality, the delivery is good, the Sales Rep Mike Allegri fine. But once you start payments....there are fees on top of fees. You pay 3 times for what you bought. If you are 1 day behind - they have an in person office calling, texting, emailing, sending letters....even calling friends threatening and harassing you that they are "On their way to pick up Sheds". I mean I know 5 ppl with similar experiences. If you can avoid it - do not do business with them. I never leave reviews. This is a predatory lender in the state of Alabama. Good product but Bad news. And I can prove it.

A family member and another business owner told me that this was a reputable company. And they are. I needed a unit for a business use - and another unit at our home for bikes, lawn mowers, power tools, etc. Excellent working with Mike in sales. I noticed they did not check credit. It was not Cash up front either. It is basically financed over time (of course with 10% sales tax in City/County of Mobile). Had the unit chosen now about 36mths (36 payments over 3yrs). Delivery went smoothe and unit is quality. There is 1 point of interest. When I purchased my home, cars and business locations all agreements clearly outlined the monthly interest amatorized over time....Maybe 5%, 8%, 10%. Example - when i purchased my current home 23yrs ago my mortgage clearly outlined a 30yrs Fixed loan at 5% interest based on a 750 credit score. When purchasing these units - double check to see the exact interest rate and if it's 24, 36, 48 or 60mths. This is the one area you need to be mindful of. Make sure that those 2 things are clear and concise. If you are apart of a credit union or a bank like we are, you may consider getting approved for financing and paying for units upfront to avoid higher interest. So I’m normally not the one to give someone a bad review but I must warn you before buying or leasing anything from them. So on April 24th 2024 I rented a storage building from Mike which is the president of the company. My boyfriend rented a carport from them a week prior to me. Mike told us that normally only one person per home can rent only one thing but he leased both of them to us. Carport in boyfriend’s name and storage in mine. I paid the first month of rent. My bill wasn’t due until June.So there was a problem with my boyfriends payment so I went to the establishment to pay his. When I got there I was told to talk to Shawn in accounting. He advised me that I could not come and pay my bill at the office it had to be paid direct deposit. I explained we was having a problem with the bank. So I was going to make the payment and dang the luck I had problems with my card as well. So he told me to call him back and he would take payment over phone. The next morning I called to make payment and he advised me that I was breaking my contract because we couldn’t have 2 things for one house. What he didn’t know or ask was that Mike approved of it. So he told me he had to talk to his manager to see what was going on. So when he called back he was so rude and asked me word for word if we were going to be able to make the payments. That if we couldn’t he would repo. So I told him I didn’t want to do business with them at all.Here is a email that Mike the president sent me. Please look at dates. These people are a nightmare!!!! So to reply to your post I’m not trying to put your company down but I want people to understand how y’all work. And no I didn’t leave anything out. My husband rented from you as well as I rented a piece of property. The payment you were asking for wasn’t even due. So yes if you feel I am not correct please show me and the others what kind of business you are. Thanks
They are charging 45% interest on their rent to own program but don't want to come right out and tell you that. When I quickly pieced that together the sales guy quickly got flustered and told me they didn't want my business and hung up on me like an ignorant coward, LOL. AVOID.
Great service. Friendly and honest sales staff. I got the building I wanted delivered the very next day.
