What to Bring
- Valid photo ID — driver's license, state ID, or passport
- Proof of income — recent pay stub, bank statement, or benefits letter
- Proof of residence — utility bill, lease agreement, or mail with your address
- Personal references — typically 3-4 contacts with phone numbers
How It Works
- 1 Browse in store — choose from available furniture, appliances, electronics, and more
- 2 Apply — no traditional credit check at most stores; approval is based on income and residency
- 3 Get approved — many stores offer same-day approval and immediate access to your items
- 4 Delivery or pickup — most stores include free delivery, setup, and ongoing service/maintenance
Typically included with rent-to-own agreements:
Free delivery and setup, service and maintenance for the life of the agreement, the option to return items at any time without penalty, and an early purchase option (EPO) to buy the item outright before the lease ends. Rent-to-own is not a loan or credit purchase. Specific terms vary by store.

Aarons customer service is extremely bad. So I was in the hospital on an off for 2 weeks I called the store spoke to some associate who never relayed my message to the accounts manager and store manager. So when I got out of the hospital I went back to work I'm not allowed to answer my cell phone at work I asked them to contact me on my work number if they need to get a hold of me. They continued to call my cell phone not the work number then accused me of withholding there property claiming I did not answer my door when they made home visits I was at work again Mon- thurs no one was home. They filed a dispute with the court and said I refused to give the property back to them which was not true I was simply in the hospital then at work. When I came in to make a payment the accounts manager was yelling at me saying give me $250 now. No matter if a customer is late on a payment we should not be threatened by the company or employees. This account manager said we don't like dealing with customers like you. Which was very harsh and because my friend was Hispanic with me i felt like this employee felt like he could discriminate because my friend was making the payment for me trying to help me out because I was recently in the hospital.
After paying $1500 for my last washer the transmission broke after only 18 months it was useless. This is the second time an expensive appliance has broken in less than 2 years of use. I decided this time to rent my washer & dryer. The staff at Aaron’s are very knowledgeable, helpful, and show customers appreciation. I will only rent from now on repairs included along with free pickup & delivery.
Will call your family members to try to get ahold of you instead of sending an email. I got a new phone number right after starting my account and they decided to call a close family member. I called and said that if I would have received an email I would have remembered the payment. The worker stated that the “company doesn’t send emails” and that it was in the contract that they can call and SHOW UP AT YOUR HOUSE instead of sending an email. That sounds like harassment to me. Stay away.
Customer service is horrible here. I called by phone to rent a refrigerator because mine went out and needs to be fixed. They want you to fill out an application with all of your personal information first. Afterwards, they tell you that the price is close to twice what is posted online for a temporary rental. The only way they can get you the lower price is to sign up for a 2 year plan. My experience with them was pathetic!
Sold me a "new" tablet, told it was just released a few months ago. Come to find out that model tablet was over two years old. Released in 2018. Expected to get the latest technology since I was paying triple the retail value, so I returned it two weeks later only to be told I now have an outstanding balance because I didn't rent it for a full month. They gave me no return receipt. Thank God it's over, right? No. Almost a week later someone shows up at my HOUSE to collect a tablet that I returned a week ago. I spoke to the store manager, who apologized saying no one put a note on the acct and also let me know my outstanding balance, when I started to explain what happened he disconnected the call. Get it TOGETHER. What a joke.
