Customer reviews
I would not recommend Rent A Wheel based on my recent experience. My brother got a flat tire on his sports car, and we went to Rent A Wheel because they told us they had a used tire available. They never mentioned the tire was already 6 years old, only that it had like-new tread. We trusted them and paid $130 for it. They also advertised free balancing and installation. To make matters worse, they didn’t have a working card reader, so we had to pay in cash. The very next morning, that same tire was completely flat. When I called, they said they would order a replacement tire, but it wouldn’t arrive until Monday. That left my brother’s car sitting all weekend. We both worked on Monday, so we came in Tuesday at around 3:00 p.m. They don’t close until 7:00 p.m., yet they refused to help us and told us to come back the next day. After already waiting all weekend for the replacement tire, we were expected to wait yet another day while the car remained unusable. When my brother finally got the replacement tire, we found out they installed a cheap tire that sells for around $85. We paid $130, were first sold a 6-year-old tire that failed overnight, then had to wait five days just to receive a lower-value replacement. Overall, the communication, customer service, and value were disappointing. I would recommend going to Firestone down the street instead if you need tires. It would likely save you time, money, and frustration. EDIT: They did give me two lug nuts for free. Woo…
