I should have read the reviews before even trying to rent from here. Went in Monday for a couch—the lady who helped me was nice at first. I asked for Friday delivery, and told her if I couldn’t move in by then, I’d call to switch it to Monday. On Thursday, I called to ask if they could deliver that day instead. She said they were booked, so I confirmed Friday delivery and even mentioned that if it didn’t work, I could probably pick it up myself. If not to keep it for Friday. Friday came, and when I called to get a delivery time, she suddenly told me I was scheduled for Monday. I reminded her that we had confirmed Friday just yesterday, but she claimed she “misheard me”—not once, but apparently both times. No compromise, no accountability, nothing. Very unprofessional. I ended up canceling the whole order.
Very disappointed with this location. I have been a solid rent-a-center customer for years. The San Angelo TX location is incredible. The people working in the Greenville store are not even close to being professional. They don’t care about their customers and it shows in their lack of work ethic and customer service skills. Take your hard earned money elsewhere.
Do not spend your money here if your looking for a real review here is how this location operates The Greenville locations should be firing the manager. I went to them with A approval to be told that they talk to Aaron and gave false information regarding my previous experience with them and would not serve me. They told me to go to a different store the manager was a complete child about it whenever I was explaining to him the situation with Aaron and I simply asked why does that concern Rent-A-Center? I have no past due balance with Aaron. I need clarification on what Aaron has to do with rent a center. I would understand if I had a past due amount or delinquent account but I don’t. I took my business to another place where they treat customers with respect. So thankfully I didn’t spend my 6000 with a company who operates this way. Clearly corporate isn’t involved enough with this location
If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. From the customer service, to the manager/managers. This is the VERY WORST OF CUSTOMER SERVICE! They currently don’t have enough staff, to pickup or deliver items. Yes they continue to set appointments for pickup, and then don’t communicate don’t show up. Then have to nerve to blame us, and want to charge us for basically storing it for them. Because they have NO STAFF. Well if the customers were treated WAYYYY BETTER. You might be able to keep your staff. This place, is THE WORST! I have had to call corporate more than once. Will be calling again for the most recent attempt to provide again absolutely disgusting service. This location definitely needs to be shut down. We will be letting go of the last piece of furniture we have from you people. And take our business somewhere else. This company should be ashamed of the people they have inside this location. Your employees need to be re-trained, or better yet fire them. START OVER!
I have great dealings with Wes, the delivery driver, but everything else about this store has been very displeasing. They were working on my dryer for two months and I had to ask a few times when I’d get my dryer back. They are quick to collect my payment but their customer service at the store is very poor. I think it was Ashley I spoke with and she has an attitude on the phone each time I talk to her. Jason is usually professional when I talk to him but still unsatisfied by how long it took to get my dryer back. When they brought it, there was a different cord on it. Had me questioning if I was getting the same dryer I purchased brand new. The experience I’ve had with this store has me guaranteed that I won’t be purchasing anything else from this store again. Again, Wes was great! Wes has great customer service, he was helpful, spoke to my son respectfully, and was just really nice. Thanks Wes!!
