Rent-A-Center

We just closed our deal today with this RAC after nearly a year and a half of doing business with them. We moved here from out of state without a single dime to our name pretty much. So no Uhaul, no bringing our own stuff, no money for a storage unit while we stayed in a hotel and hunted for an apartment. Once we finally landed an apartment I knew that for a cheap down payment RAC would have the bed we needed, but was apprehensive due to past experience with an unaffiliated RAC in another state. I am honestly so grateful we met Dan and his team the day we decided to go looking for furniture. If you are serious about keeping up with your end of the contract and making your payments, this location is great. There were a few issues with furniture being shipped broken or missing pieces (we moved several times) and they handled it as quickly as possible in ways that did not put us in a financial bind while they sorted it out. The guys that put the furniture together are kind and talkative, and I'm typically someone that feels weird with anyone in my home when its just me. But they're great people. If you keep communication open with Dan and Dakota, they're understanding that....maybe your paycheck didn't fall on the right day. It IS policy for them to call and text reminders, but they won't harass you in person if you PTP (promise to pay) and establish that you can keep your word with them. They saw us go from a studio apartment, to our "dream apartment", to home ownership in a year and 5 months. The entire time I added more and more furniture until my bill with them turned into "well why dont we just buy our own stuff". Sorry, not sorry! 😂 But thank you guys so much! You made this journey just a little less nerve racking for us! Shout out to Tim who will literally do everything he can to make sure you have what you need. We had fallen on a difficult time (unexpected lay off), and he offered to bring us a spare bunkbed of his own if we weren't gonna be able to make a payment. We pulled through pretty quickly but he's proof that selflessness and above and beyond customer service still exists. And also Eddie will literally talk to you about anything, like he's known you all his life, and have an entire room built or broken down in 15 minutes. All around a good experience!

Do not do business with this store there such a rip off. Told us the pay off was one price and charged our card all most 40.00 more dollars. I hope nobody else has this experience with this store.

We have been dealing with this Specific Rent A Center for almost 4 years. Dan is Absolutely Amazing. He always goes above and beyond to help his Customers. Dakota is Top Notch. Not only is he a Perfect Employee, He's also a Great Friend. His personality is Contagious. Dakota is very knowledgeable about all products that they have in store and if it's not in store he will do his best to get it. Tim fixed our Dryer like a Professional. Everyone goes Above Expectations of the Company. DELIVERY MEN- Words can not even come close to expressing. They show up on time, Very polite and Professional. No nicks or damage to my house. Jeremy and Eddie we're Amazing. I will only deal with Oak Ridge because other Rent A Centers will never come close to Oak Ridge especially Clinton (Clinton is rude. They need to take tips from oak ridge). We have purchased Laptops Washer/Dryer 2 Living Room Couch Sets 1 Bed 3 Video Games 1 TV 2 end tables 1 coffee table I wish I could leave more then 5 starts cause they deserve a higher rating. I have rented and bought several items from them, and they are always so helpful and kind. They are willing to work with you on payments and always give you an amazing deal! I highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy furniture but don't have the ability to spend a ton at once!
