Better Built Structures

I purchased a new "better built" building from trenton toliver but he delivered a banged up, scratched and leaking one, he also transported another building that I own and we told him we wanted to tie doors closed. On video he says it's not necessary. Door flung off on hwy. I was kind because I felt bad for him. I assumed he must have been embarrassed. his response was, man... I should have had you sign a waiver. I normally do because I'm not liable when things like this happen. he said he would go ahead and build one. I waited, patiently, for a couple of months. I contacted him just a couple of times and finally he responded that he built and painted the door and was waiting for the paint to dry. When he showed up to attach the door I was not there and later found out he brought back the original door. After I mentioned it's the same door and broken, he said oh, funny thing, my buddy found it on the hwy. I reminded him he said he built and painted it. he replied that he rebuilt and painted it. If that was the case the scratched and banged up areas would have been painted. he attached the door unevenly, used the same broken hinges and didn't bother at all to level it with the other door. he couldn't even close it and admitted to knowing that. I meationed the water from rain is getting in (to both buildings). He said he'd come back and never did. The other building I purchased, that was supposed to have been new, was banged up scratched and leaking. I was generous and patient. I called the manufacturer and spoke with the manager, since trenton never followed through. The manager said they'd had other complaints about the buildings like this before and apologized. He explained he would have to order me new parts and a new roof because of the cracks between the roof and walls he was familiar with, and the leaking roof, scratched and banged up especially the doors. They never followed through. Before I contacted the manufacturer, trenton sent one guy out (trenton mentioned that one guy is his family), one time, to check the doors before that call to manufacturer. That guy claimed a man told him to leave. Rather than calling or messaging me or even contacting trenton (according to trenton) the guy just left. I am the buyer and the only point of contact and the repair guy was on the phone with me on the way there but he should have known to text or call me if someone is saying not to be there, when I am the customer. The last time I contacted trenton he said he did me a favor delivering my building. A favor does not cost $400 and a favor does not mean I pay for a new building and get one that leaks. These buildings are for a dog rescue ranch and we give everything to help those babies. I thought patience and kindness would be the best approach. I purchased this building online and have all of the marketplace messages, videos and texts. he was beyond unprofessional and created a horrible, unfortunate experience. his reckless, horrible choices took from the dogs.

It took 10 weeks to have my building done the craftsmanship was awful all the wood for the framing was split and their was nails sticking out everywhere my mini split was delivered broken call several times and talked to Maddison she said she would get it fixed then she stopped taking my calls Austin was great when we first ordered the building then after we couldn’t get ahold of him we asked for the deluxe electric package and I specifically asked Austin if it was a 200 amp package he said it was and charged extra for it we received the building and it was only the hundred amp electrical box I messaged Austin and his boss about it they said they would honor that agreement then when corporate called me They told me Austin didn’t know anything about it I don’t recommend this company at all use dirskin or somebody else and they don’t tell you that they don’t provide the blocks to sit your building on the only good thing about this company is their delivery guys they were great

The good..........My 12X24 Lofted barn was built, and delivered in a timely fashion. The staff were helpful and friendly. The bad. After the building was delivered to my house, me and the delivery driver Clint did a thorough walk around inspection inside and out. The outside looked great minus a utility cable that struck the top portion of the building during transport which damaged a portion of the roof. The inside of the building is where it gets ugly. I don't know where they're getting their lumber from but they need a different lumber supplier, as well as better inspector. 3 out of the 10 2X6 loft supports were cracked. One is nearly broke in half. Some of the 2X4 used for the walls are split as well. Makes me wonder if they even inspected this unit before it left thier facility. If it was inspected, who in thier right mind would think that this kind of build quality is acceptable. If the damaged occured during transport then they need a to find better means of delivery. Which leads me to my current predicament. I now have a building that has a loft that I can't store stuff in until it's repaired. All these issues could be lessened or avoided if they would have just done a thorough inspection of their work and repaired the building before it was sent out, or taken better care and precautions during transportation.

Very nice buildings. Competitive on price. My 10x16 barn is perfect and love the charcoal siding! only took 3 weeks to be built and delivered. Had a questions with my lease payment and Lisa in the main office got it handled very quickly! Thank you Better Built Staff!
