Amazing job. I had a very tough shed move I needed help with. Buck and his crew came through with flying colors and a custom built and modified trailer to make the job a success. I will for sure be doing business with him again.
Buck was great to work with and added the options that I wanted. Seems like very sturdy construction. I'm very happy with my shed. Thanks again. My father had a shed built by Buck and he's also very happy with his as well.
My husband and I chose to work with Gold Dome because they had given us a 6 week timeline and were about $300 quoted under other competitors. The downside is that the product did not come painted, and we would have to paint it ourselves. Not a big deal, as we were looking at a completion time in an August. This would allow us time before it got cold to be able to get it painted. I wish I would have paid the extra $300 to get a painted product from someone else. Buck chose to send a small paragraph (no drawings) to the city inspectors for approval for the building permit. When the constructed shed was inspected by the city, they did not approve it because it was not up to building code. Buck requested final payments still, even though we did not have a functioning shed that could be torn down any day by the city. We told him we would not make the final payment until we had a shed we could use. After back and forth, waiting and waiting, Buck was able to come place the fixes needed to get the building up to city code. We were able to make the final payment on OCTOBER 31st. 2 1/2 months AFTER it was supposed to have been completed. It was cold enough outside by then that any paint plans were put on hold until warmer temps next year. So this project we wanted to get done this summer is now turning into a 2 year project. I wish we would have paid the extra $300 to go with a different company and have a painted and finished product only a few weeks after Gold Dome was supposed to have been completed. We will not be recommending them to any one. Additional edit 5 months after completion: we found out after having the job be completed that they didn’t even caulk around the windows or doors, so water is definitely able to get in the building when it rains. So that’s another thing we will have to do ourselves that should have been included in a finished product.
About 18 years ago we purchased our first Gold Dome Shed. A few years down the road we sold that house and the shed that Gold Dome built. But we didn’t move far. We walk through the old neighborhood regularly and see the old house...and in the back yard sits the shed. Still standing after all those years of Iowa weather. So, when we found we were running out of space to store our outdoor furniture for the winter, where else would go except the same place that built that old shed that still stands in our old backyard. That longevity should be enough to sell anyone, but what’s more is the team that built our new shed. I could tell that they were even proud of their workmanship, and how that showed and explained everything to us. Not sure if I’ll need another shed, but if I do, I know where I’ll go. Continue the good work!
We had Gold Dome build a custom shed on our site. Buck and his crew did an amazing job! They were polite, professional, hardworking and were committed to doing an excellent job.We are extremely pleased and we highly recommend them. Thank you Buck and crew! Dave (Mr Greenhouse)
