What to Bring
- Valid photo ID — driver's license, state ID, or passport
- Proof of income — recent pay stub, bank statement, or benefits letter

How It Works
- 1 Browse in store — choose from available furniture, appliances, electronics, and more

Typically included with rent-to-own agreements:
Free delivery and setup, service and maintenance for the life of the agreement, the option to return items at any time without penalty, and an early purchase option (EPO) to buy the item outright before the lease ends. Rent-to-own is not a loan or credit purchase. Specific terms vary by store.

I had a very frustrating experience yesterday. I originally filled out an application online to see what my buying power was. It let me know, but it wasn’t as high as I wanted it to be because I was looking for a specific type of couch. Someone called me (I truly don’t remember his name) and asked if I was interested. I told him I didn’t think I was going to go through with it because they didn’t have the size I wanted that fit within my buying power. I informed him I was moving, the date I was moving, the buying power, what type of couch I was looking for and the documents I needed to bring. When I got there, it took a long time to greet me. I don’t know, I just feel like it takes a few seconds to say “I’ll be right with you”. It wasn’t until another employee saw me and started getting up to help, that the heavy set light skin guy decided to speak. When I gave the man my information, he pointed me to the couch I had been told about. When I saw the price, I was confused because it was way higher than mentioned on the phone, but I was told they could adjust it to fit what I needed, so I was hopeful. The heavy set man called me back over to confirm my address and the informed me I’m out of their area. He said it twice, but didn’t say what that meant until I asked him. When he informed me that it meant that I should’ve been at the South Braddock store and asked me why I went to McKees Rocks, I let him know that I didn’t pick any stores. I filled out the application and I was called from this store. Plus, I had already verified this information on the phone, so I’m not sure why I had to waste my time and gas to come over and find out I should’ve gone somewhere else. He called the person I spoke to earlier in the day and it sounded like he was trying to convince him not to allow me to use this store because I live “so far”. Then, he asks me if I live next to a certain area and I replied yes. He then goes “Oh, she lives in those projects…”. Number one, I do not live in the projects lol. It was such a weird and ignorant statement, it really threw me off. After saying that, he confirmed they actually DO have customers there and service that area. After verifying everything, we began talking about the couch. I was then being told that I basically wouldn’t be able to get it because of the price and how he can’t adjust the price, it’s someone else. He would have to pass it along to that person and then they’d decide. My whole thing is that why couldn’t this be said on the phone? Why do I need to drive over here and get piss poor service for this to be relayed to me? After going back and forth a bit about the couch and washer and dryer I tried looking at, I voiced my frustration to him. I let him know I was pretty frustrated because I drove over to get this settled, and I felt he wasn’t trying to help me, nor could he really do anything for me. He not once apologized for the inconvenience, nor did he really acknowledge it. He kept saying “yeah, but we don’t know your buying power until you provide documentation” and I told him that was false. I knew what my buying power was and shared it with the person on the phone. I asked him to cancel my application because honestly, after all of that, I don’t want to get anything from them anyway.
They people who work at Aaron’s especially in Kennedy are they best group of people they try and work with when ever they can. They know life happens but they also want to see you pay off the furniture as well and they treat you any different depending on the circumstances!
Great employees! When we moved to Pittsburgh from Louisiana we had no furniture so i went there and they were very accommodating and helpful. I also wanted a massage chair and they didn't have it, so montell ordered it for me. Very nice!
We are loyal customers and have been for the last couple years. Always been pretty happy with Mo tel and Aaron's as a company, however, our experience today was completely awful!!! Corporate can comment on this with how to make a formal complaint. ....in the meantime I'll try to find a phone or email myself. But bottom line is we really like Montel and have dealt with him for over 2 years. However, the other employees need some training on everything about Aaron's. We've had excellent delivery people in the past. Today was a disaster and ended with me coming home to them only having a frame 99%? complete when we got an entire bedroom set, and they were here over 4 hours! 4 HOURS!!!!! Also left a mess inside and outside. ...I tried posting pics but they're not showing up....
If you have to lease anything, this is the place to go. The manager Montell is a amazing person. He has great customer service skills and will take care of your leasing needs. I’ve used these establishments for years and I must say he is the best manager I’ve dealt with. The store is always nice, clean, and smells good also.
I just know that Rent A Center ain't got nothing on AARON'S!!! At first, I was frustrated and wanted my money back because I was late getting home and wanted my living room set delivered, so they left until management talked me into staying as a customer, so I did, and he made a promise to make his delivery workers come in on a Saturday and deliver my stuff. They were reliable and on time. Since then, I haven't had any problems. Very respectful and understanding employees and management.
