No communication between employees. Bangs on doors loud enough for the neighbors to hear and think someone is breaking in. They show up in non-RaC trucks, like another company's truck. Literally harassing people by calling 15-20 times in a row. Absolutely horrible.

Okay this was the worst experience Ive ever had with getting any type of furniture! My initial visit up there was last Thursday october 16, went through the application process and was approved for a bedroom set within my budget. As part of their approval process I had to give 4 references which i did and was informed that they would be reaching out to the references on the following day and if anything went wrong i would receive a call that following Monday and my bedroom set was scheduled to be delivered the following Thursday October 23. I received no call that monday so i assumed that everything was good to go, the day i was supposed to receive the bedroom set the delivery time was between 1-3pm i reached out around 12:45 to see if they had a set time i was then informed that the delivery person would call once they where on the way. At 2:30pm i received a call from the manager saying that my references never answered the phone and that i wouldnt be able to receive my bed and mattress, i went up to the store because i was confused at to what happened because i never got a call saying that there was a problem with my references when i arrived at the store and talked to the front desk i was then informed that today was the first day that they called and because of no answer that my order was cancelled and i couldnt/wouldnt receive my order. Highly disappointed not only because of the fact i was lied to but also because the lack of effort they took to make sure everything was ready for today. I also called all my references while in the store and they all said they never received a call from the manager!! 10 out of 10 DO NOT GO THERE THEY ARE A WASTE OF TIME AND EFFORT! What makes it even sadder is i told the manager i had my daughter with me and we just moved so we needed a new bed and he said he didnt care there wasnt anything he could do. Just in a whole negative experience Update: 10/25/2025 H Hello so this is an update on the horrible experience i had with rent a center on Waughtown in Winston Salem Nc. So after being told the day of i wouldn't get my furniture I went to Rooms To Go in greensboro nc the same day and found a bedroom set almost identical to the one i was planning on getting from rent a center, BUT it was almost 80% cheaper not nearly as much added on from financing and the icing on the cake it was delivered the next day !! Love my experience if you ever need or want new furniture asap Rooms To Go in greensboro nc better quality and better staff on hand to help out with the process and they DID NOT LIE IN MY FACE ABOUT MY THINGS BEING DELIVERED… Oh and i loved them soo much i also got a three piece living room suit for half the price once i explained to them how terrible the last furniture place was!! 10 out of 10 Recommend

I’ve had a great experience with one of the workers, Karina is her name. I’ve been renting with them for a long time now. She was happy to help me get new orders placed for two new bedroom suites. Helped me find the perfect one. She helped with the links to specific ones and pictures. She definitely went above and beyond! Anytime I’m looking to rent anything after I pay off these things, I will ask for her if she’s still working 😊

Rent a center hounds you down if your payment is 10 secs late. Calls multiple times in one day and will show up at your door with the truck to receive payment. The times this has happen I either already made a payment but it wasn’t noted. Or they didn’t have their paper work in order. It’s quite harassing. And then right after harassing you about a barely late payment will ask you if you want to rent more stuff from them. It’s quite ridiculous. I understand it’s all a money game but it’s very annoying for the customer to experience. When I first signed up the lady told me try not to miss too many payments. I’ve never missed a payment maybe a half a day late but never missed. I don’t think I’ll rent with rent a center again.

As of right now, I’m very disappointed in the service I’ve received from rent a center on Waugh town. While the manager Sam has been very kind and patient. The staff is very rude. A young lady by the name of CAROL, continues to call my phone and be rude whilst me being at work. I explained to the manager that my bed is broke ( which he is more than happy to have someone come fix ) I’m actually on an air bed in my living room right now because the right side of my bed collapsed. It’s been about 4 days now. Carol calls me and I told her I’m not available at the moment she says “unfortunately I know it’s you can we take care of that payment”. Excuse me? I’m at work, nobody is trying to run off with any merchandise or not pay a bill, I just would like my bed fixed! On top of everything I don’t even have my whole set! I ordered a month and a half ago and only received a dresser, night stand, mattress and metal box spring. My bed isn’t even put up! It’s literally just sitting on a metal piece, and I don’t have the big mirror to my dresser. I’m very upset! This is the second time I’ve been harassed by this CAROL! I’m constantly blocking numbers because I’m being harassed by this lady, and she doesn’t even know what’s going on!
