Khalil, Kathy, and Tina are all by far the rudest and most unprofessional people I’ve had the displeasure of doing business with. I never asked to be laid off from my job. They only worked with me for about a month and then began harassing me to come and pick up my items. Never again will I do business with them or Rent a Center PERIOD. Absolutely DISGUSTING behavior!!! EDITED TO ADD: While they were picking up my merchandise, they pulled off and left my front door wide open. I find that to be extremely unprofessional, rude, and highly disrespectful.

Maryanne is the rudest customer service rep I’ve ever had to encounter, she’s sassy states she never received the documents and just wanted to argue. Everyone else at this rent a center is completely fine!

I am submitting an urgent complaint regarding the behavior of your store manager, Trina. I am requesting immediate contact from the District Manager. I called your store with a simple question, and instead of receiving help, I was spoken to in a rude, hostile, and disrespectful manner. Trina talked over me, yelled through the phone, and made inappropriate comments about my pregnancy. Her remarks about me stressing my baby were completely out of line and unprofessional. I also asked to speak with her supervisor, and she stated that she was the manager. This entire interaction made me feel belittled and disrespected. No customer should ever be treated this way, and it is especially disturbing that a pregnant woman would be spoken to with such a lack of care and professionalism. I have had much better experiences with the previous manager, and it is disappointing to see the level of customer service at this location fall so far. A manager should know how to communicate respectfully, even when handling customer concerns. Based on my experience, Trina should not be in a management position if this is how she treats people. I expect the District Manager to contact me immediately regarding this complaint and to explain what steps will be taken to address this situation.

My experience with Rent-A-Center has been nothing short of a nightmare. Their aggressive and borderline illegal collection tactics are absolutely unacceptable. Late at night, they have shown up at my home with no visible identification, knocking on my door and even my windows, as if trying to catch me off guard. I confirmed through my home surveillance footage that their employees were actively watching my home before making these unannounced visits. One particular incident stands out as the most disturbing. An older man named Matt (or Mike), with long white hair and glasses, came to my door demanding immediate payment. I calmly explained that there had been a misunderstanding and that I would settle the balance the next day. Instead of acting professionally, he attempted to force his way into my home, claiming he was there to take back the item – an item I had already nearly paid off in full with just one month left. As a single mother home alone with my children, I was forced to defend my home and make it clear that his behavior would not be tolerated. Only then did he back off. The next day, my computer mysteriously stopped working. Given that I had previously noticed my webcam turning on at random times throughout my rental period, I had questioned Rent-A-Center about whether they had remote access to my device. They denied it, but after this latest incident, I firmly believe they used remote control software to disable my laptop. This company does not operate with integrity. Their tactics are invasive, their collection methods are borderline criminal, and their disregard for customer rights is appalling. I will be seeking legal counsel regarding their actions, and I strongly advise against renting from them. There are far better, more ethical options available. Save yourself the trouble – stay away from Rent-A-Center.

The staff works with me, they have great customer service; however I have committed to 2 contracts without knowing exactly what was going on. The older guy there doesn’t do a good job fully explaining what costumes are signing up for. Now I’m in a couple contacts that I don’t know if I’ll be able to uphold. I don’t know if it’s a procedure issue or what but it affects my entire life so I hope you take the time to do something. I go to the one on Main Street in hope mills North Carolina
