I’m really disappointed with how my account was handled. There was zero communication as I got close to my “same as cash” deadline. I was only about $200 away from paying off my furniture and then, out of nowhere, my balance jumped to around $1,600. Part of that is on me for not tracking it perfectly, but I was making extra payments specifically to hit the same-as-cash window, and the store knew that. I understand the profit model, but the lack of transparency and heads-up feels wrong. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I won’t be using RAC again.
Tim, the store manager at Penn Yan has me down as a skip out, stolen item with my social security number. States on the record that he doesn't have to furnish me with any documentation. We'll see what exhaustion of remedies has I say about it. ... from The Better Business Bureau, Consumer Affairs to the NY State Attorney General up to and including a Civil Court Judge - has to say about slander and falsifying business records. The store refuses to furnish a document with my signature. Why? Because they don't have it. Steer clear of Rent A Center in Penn Yan!
Love the people at my local store. If ever a problem they understand that life happens and are willing to help.
Bought a lot of items from here. Staff is always more than willing to help and are great getting anything in that I request, I would recommend them to anyone! Thanks so much to all the staff at Penn Yan Rent-A-Center for your help and courtesy!
They are money hungery. They really understandwhen someone gets laid off of work they dont care. When the main account hold xalls and says clme get your stuff they dont show up. If they brake something ot takes them 3 weeks to fix. and all thry do is lie
