Do not go to rent a center in Cohoes. Management has changed so many times you do not know who your talking to. I bought a livingroom set from them and never had an issue. The staff were all professional and nice. I have now purchased a table. It came with scratches on it. The than manager Calab took $400 off my purchase price. I was told by the manager Calab I owned $950 now. Calab has since left. There is new management now. I have $250 left to pay on my table and now, I am told I own $1093. No I do not. When the new management took over I spoke with people 5 times about the agreement. New management thought I owed full price. Than they say ok I see this in the computer that there was sn agreement for $950. Now all the sudden I told I made the agreement with Calab need them. Even though they said they see it in the computer, Calabs agreement. The manager now claim he never spoke with me before. I will NEVER use Rent A Center again. I have used the company a couple of times and ALWAYS pay. The manager was trying to give me the run around and show me what I WAS PREVIOUSLY supposed To pay. NOPE! The agreement was $950 and I owe.$250 more. Thats it!!!! BEWARE
This surprises me to write. I have been getting stuff from RAC since 2018. I ALWAYS pay off 6 months same as cash they would beg me to rent stuff but when I actually need something the guy trying to help me was Incompetent and said he can't find the product and asked me to come back tomorrow morning... what kind of business is that and I just had a house fire and moved to another apartment I needed a couch to sleep on I had nothing but the clothes on my back and he said I couldn't pick it up. That must of changed because I've done it before the old manager knew I was a great customer this guy didn't even acknowledge I never ever missed a payment in any of my contracts.
It's been great! Best experience I've had from a RAC store. This store has a great team!
I have no respect for the store manager whom I witnessed slam her office door in a customers face, harassed multiple customers for payments, yet delivered broken or damaged items or items with missing pieces. Horrible customer service, lies just to get sales; I have never been a Rent-A-Center customer and for this, I will definitely never be.
The salesperson, Spencer and store manager, Brandon, have been super attentive and accommodating. They were flexible with delivery dates, found and picked up a dining set at another location for me, and had excellent follow up to make sure I was good to go.
