This location needs new management immediately … I just got off the phone with an associate named Jose on 12/26/25 at 10:27 am who told me “he is the only Jose working at this store” after requesting proper identification … I was told my information “sounds fishy” without any presented evidence on a PARTIAL order & threatened to deny any future orders from my town of residence , accused me of lying instead of professionally asking for my documentation first , argued with me for 6 MINUTES instead of escalating things to a higher up. I strongly believe rent a center employees do NOT have the authority to pre-judge a customer based on location , blanket-deny orders without reviewing documentation, accuse customers of fraud without following internal verification procedures … this behavior can be deemed unprofessional, discriminatory, and retaliatory. This is my FIRST rent a center order and first interaction with anything involving rent a center and trust it will be my last. A simple “We may need additional documentation to complete approval. A manager can assist you.” would have been the professional way to handle things but now I will be filing complaints & calling corporate offices on my holiday free time to make sure this is handled efficiently. After I offered to speak with a higher up then offered to call customer service … I was told I can try things again when Jose feels my address is correct. I was not given an opportunity to properly submit documentation or have my account reviewed through a standard verification process.This interaction made me feel unfairly judged, disrespected, and discouraged from completing a legitimate purchase for my family Christmas gifts. I am fully able and willing to provide proof of all information requested, and I believe this situation should have been handled professionally and through proper internal procedures.I am requesting: 1. A review of this associate’s conduct 2. Follow-up from store management or corporate 3. Assurance that my account is not being unfairly flagged or denied I appreciate your time and look forward to a resolution. Happy Holidays ! Handle the grinch he is stealing Christmas :(
The manager at this location is very unprofessional bias in my opinion needs some type of re training maybe even some counselor she needs hug possibly.i have never had an awful experience with a store manager 😕 hey but it won't mess up my day and don't let it dictate yours.
It was difficult to make a decision because what I originally wanted will take 2 to 4 weeks, but I’m very happy that the representatives took the time to show me different options that were very similar to what I originally wanted and it was to match my kitchen at the price point that works for me.
Provided the services I needed at the time. Didn’t always have the products that were marketed, so be open-minded and you might find something that will work for you. Can’t say the staff went above and beyond to help, but if you miss a payment, that’s where they shine! Dog the Bounty Hunter style. You know why you came here, so make the best of it. And for gods sake, pay it off asap, otherwise you’re flushing money down the toilet.
The manager Mike in the Burlington office is very pushy and demanding. I’m almost finished payment’s on my furniture and he is harassing me about a 56 dollar payment that’s past due. I explain to him that I get paid the following week but he insist on me making a payment now. I’m like do you think I’ve got this far to neglect my responsibility? No…so I’m going to go ahead and pay the last 2 to 3 payments I have left and be finished with this! I should’ve went to a real furniture store.
