Rent-A-Center

I have had wonderful experience they have worked with me when I needed them to I have nothing but good things to say about them

First time I rented through Rent-A-Center it was an okay experience at best they do not do much in the way of customer satisfaction if anything comes up even if you call to let them know ahead of time and set a date that you can make a payment you get ridiculed and yelled at for not being able to make the payment on time. I decided against better judgment to use Rent-A-Center a second time for a laptop a friend of mine offered to put it on his account because he already had one open and I would come in and help him pay half of the total and so I agree to it. My friend and I then had to call and see if we could just get an extra day to give money together and was put on hold for the associate to talk to the credit manager Chad and heard over the phone Chad saying that I was horrible that he had to rewrite my lease once and that I probably forced my friend to put me on his because they won't rent me anymore when the truth is nobody ever told me that they won't rent to me anymore so that was untrue and also I don't appreciate being talked about like that because I never forced my friend to do anything he did it on his own and offered to let me put my laptop on his if I helped him pay half just because he already had one open and because he had a credit from something he had paid off he offered to do it that way so that I'd be able to get it cheaper and I told him that once the laptop is paid off the credit that comes from it would be his since he did that for me Rent-A-Center has grown a reputation of being greedy and extremely rude.

If you are 3 days late & don’t answer your phone when they call you one time because you are at work & get in trouble for answering your phone while on the clock then they show up at your house to threaten to take whatever you are renting from them away. Especially when you only have less than 85% of your items paid off. I will be giving my business to Aaron’s from now on.

Agents at the store have conflicting information. One says I can switch to biweekly agreement and just pay what the statements say the others say I have to pay a full month in advance to switch to biweekly and message me multiple times a day asking for the money with zero desire to fix the issue within their store for the wrong information released to the consumer

So let me say, we had done rent a center once before and that experience was horrible. This recent experience was ten worst than the first. My husband and I needed a washer and dryer and didn't have the money to get one upfront. So against our better judgement we went to rent a center. So, let me say yes we have a couple times been late but we have always paid and called them to say we will pay. We couldn't make the last payment and so a I called and talked to the lady who was rude to begin with and said we will make a double payment on September 16th. We have had some extra cost. Since making that phone call and telling them that I was going to be late. They have called us 6 times a day and even called my mother in law demanding payment. Never mind we are technically one payment behind. Not three or four payments. Just one and WE HAVE ALSO PAID!!!!! So, if you read this rent a center come get your damn washer and dryer. I knew deep in my heart this was a bad idea to do. You over charge for things.
