Rent One

☆☆☆☆☆ I had to give zero stars. Rent One has absolutely no dignity or accountability. Our dryer broke and we were told the earliest service they could send was Saturday — fine, things happen. But there was no loaner offered, no sense of urgency, and no effort to help in the meantime. The bigger issue was Sherman. His attitude was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. When a company is already charging criminal interest rates, the least they can do is honor their contract and treat customers with basic human respect. That did not happen here. We originally used Rent One because our washer broke and planned on purchasing through them. After seeing how this company operates and experiencing Sherman’s disrespect, we decided to walk away completely and buy a new dryer elsewhere. This company doesn’t serve customers — it preys on them. We won’t be back. Let Rent One rest in peace.

Ernest, the store manager, is completely unprofessional. His behavior is aggressive, chaotic, and frankly embarrassing for a business he does not own. He consistently yells at his staff and then seems to think it’s acceptable to take that same disrespectful tone with customers. As a consumer, I refuse to engage in power trips or tolerate a grown man speaking recklessly to people over a business he represents, not one he built. Ernest runs this location as if it’s his personal playground, and the level of unprofessionalism is almost indescribable. Because of his behavior, I took my business elsewhere—and life has been great ever since. I will never use Rent One again specifically because of this manager. I will say that the other staff members are professional and courteous, but unfortunately, they still have to answer to him. For that reason alone, this location is a hard no for me. Consider this a warning: don’t do it.

I don’t recommend this location at all. First thing is every time I called the person answering the phone also sounded so far away. The people who came out to install the washer and dryer complained that they had to go up the stairs. Not even a full week of me having the unit was my washer spinning cycle causing shaking of the whole unit. I called the store letting them know. I was told that someone would come Thursday or Friday and they would call before hand. Thursday at about 10AM someone is banging on my door. It was the same 2 guy who installed the unit. I said no call was made prior to them knocking at my door. Not even 15 minutes later they turn around as I’m on a work call stating that they can’t fix the issues. And they would let the office know. I called right the office letting them know everything that happened. The same guy who always answer the phone said oh well I told them to call before. Then mentioned service ticket would be done once they get back in the office. Fast forward Tuesday, store 319 calls and ask about a payment. I then revoiced the issues I was having. He said the issues can’t be resolved until I pay. I ended up calling another store having my account transfer. Store 319 is extremely unprofessional and they need some training. I don’t recommend this location what so ever.

If you were looking for a sign, this is it! Don’t do it! They are very unprofessional and lack communication skills! I was told a delivery date, took off work, only for me to call two hours in my delivery timeframe and they tell me they don’t know when they can deliver. It’s up to me if I want to continue business. Cleo lacks intelligence on how to properly communicate with her customers. She would not talk to me as the store manager so I could understand what’s going on. Why stay open if you can’t deliver furniture it does not make sense. If you need furniture Asap it’s a waste of time, you will not know when you will receive your items. Only false delivery dates and time frames. I went to Aaron’s and got my items the same day and cheaper!!!
