What to Expect at This Store
Visiting a rent-to-own store is straightforward. Here is a general overview of what to bring and how the process typically works. Requirements may vary — contact Aaron's directly to confirm.
What to Bring
- Valid photo ID — driver's license, state ID, or passport
- Proof of income — recent pay stub, bank statement, or benefits letter
- Proof of residence — utility bill, lease agreement, or mail with your address
- Personal references — typically 3-4 contacts with phone numbers
How It Works
- 1 Browse in store — choose from available furniture, appliances, electronics, and more
- 2 Apply — no traditional credit check at most stores; approval is based on income and residency
- 3 Get approved — many stores offer same-day approval and immediate access to your items
- 4 Delivery or pickup — most stores include free delivery, setup, and ongoing service/maintenance
Typically included with rent-to-own agreements:
Free delivery and setup, service and maintenance for the life of the agreement, the option to return items at any time without penalty, and an early purchase option (EPO) to buy the item outright before the lease ends. Rent-to-own is not a loan or credit purchase. Specific terms vary by store.

I've been struggling with a lot of stuff lately personal and professional, however the guys working and running the store are just awesome. They have been so considerate and kind helping me when I'm unable to make a payment on time. They genuinely seem to care and care that you have a good experience.
People give them a bad rep because of their high prices and how they badger you once you don't pay. Come on people. You know their prices are high when you sign the paperwork. You know that if you don't pay they're coming for their stuff. The bad reviews don't make any sense. I've had to use these places several times. Don't get mad when they come for their stuff due to non payment. That's totally on you.
Rick set me up with a laptop and convinced me to get the warranty too. Said it would be the smartest choice in case something happens to the laptop. He said it would be active immediately. If something happens to it NEXT WEEK they could help me out. A few days after getting the laptop it started freezing and crashing. It’s been a few weeks and I decided I’m not going to keep this laptop and continue paying for it if I can’t even use it. It got to the point it wouldn’t even turn on. It was stuck in a loop restarting over and over again. I took it Back and told James what was going on and that I’m not going to keep this laptop that doesn’t even work. He said I’m still responsible for payments, and I’m responsible to get it fixed. I told him I’ve had the warranty since I got the laptop in May (2021). He said the warranty isnt active until 3 months and I have to go fix it myself. Rick told me in May that the warranty would be active immediately. Why would I keep paying for a warranty that “isn’t active”. He then said there’s nothing he can do and if I return the laptop they’ll keep charging me. This place is a joke don’t bother with them. They’ll find a loophole to screw you over somehow.
This is not a company I would ever willingly do business with. Unfortunately, my lack of eagerness to hear from them does not appear to matter to them. They keep calling me because their customer gave them my name and my number as a reference. While they never called me as a reference, they call me multiple times a month when they're unable to contact their customer. I never agreed to be a reference, a message receiver, or a message sender for their customer or for them. In the past, I have let them know I do not have any way of getting in touch with their customer. Today, my husband tried to convince them of it and politely asked them to stop calling me. They informed my husband that I need to call them if I wanted them to stop calling me because I consented to have them use my number. Not true! And no! Forget it! I'm not calling them again. Why would I? I already told them I can't help them contact their customer. I NEVER consented to be USED as a message sender or receiver. And so, to my great displeasure, I plan to change the phone number I’ve used for over fifteen years.
