What to Expect at This Store
Visiting a rent-to-own store is straightforward. Here is a general overview of what to bring and how the process typically works. Requirements may vary — contact Aaron's directly to confirm.
What to Bring
- Valid photo ID — driver's license, state ID, or passport
- Proof of income — recent pay stub, bank statement, or benefits letter
- Proof of residence — utility bill, lease agreement, or mail with your address
- Personal references — typically 3-4 contacts with phone numbers
How It Works
- 1 Browse in store — choose from available furniture, appliances, electronics, and more
- 2 Apply — no traditional credit check at most stores; approval is based on income and residency
- 3 Get approved — many stores offer same-day approval and immediate access to your items
- 4 Delivery or pickup — most stores include free delivery, setup, and ongoing service/maintenance
Typically included with rent-to-own agreements:
Free delivery and setup, service and maintenance for the life of the agreement, the option to return items at any time without penalty, and an early purchase option (EPO) to buy the item outright before the lease ends. Rent-to-own is not a loan or credit purchase. Specific terms vary by store.

Jade is awesome she has a great personality her customer service is excellent!! Thank You Jade
I'm not sure what happened but I got there at 3:42pm and they were already closed, online and the in-store sign reads they do not close until 5pm🤷🏾♂️guess they don't want business obviously, meanwhile online right now it's reading that are still opened 😞
I needed a couch last year and I was able to get a brand new comfy couch from Aaron’s. They delivered and set it up quickly. The best thing about my experience was Kobi, he’s knowledgeable, professional and he follows up. I own the couch after I make my last payment this month but will definitely look to Aaron’s in Laurel if I have an immediate need. Check them out. Tell them Damita said they ROCK!
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I have never had a worse experience from a company like what I've had with Aaron's. My store was the one on Fort Meade Rd in Laurel, MD. I would call to make payments and I was told by the representative who answered (on several occasions) that they couldn't take a payment because they were helping a customer and there was no one else there. To say they are understaffed is an understatement. Then they'd show up to my house, call my personal and work phone, and charge me a fee for showing up to my house because I didn't make a payment. One time they took a payment from my debit card before the preset bi-weekly payment date, which is why I call them to make payments now. I couldn't deal with them anymore so I told them that I'd be returning every item one-by-one and requested for them to pick up one item ASAP . They told me they couldn't pick up the item until I made a payment (on every item I had). I made the payment and they refused to pick up the item. I'd call them, they'd hang up on me. I called the corporate office and filed a complaint, still waiting on a return call for that. Two guys from the store, Andy and Charles are the most disrespectful and unprofessional people I've ever met. I called the store yesterday to tell them to pick up the item like they told me they would and Charles stated that if they come they're taking evey item I have. I have contacted a lawyer because I've read my contract and it states that I can return any item at any time. I could go on and on about the disrespect, unprofessionalism, and lack of accountability but it'd be way too much to type. If only I had read the reviews first. For the sake of your peace of mind, STAY AWAY FROM AARON'S.
I am giving 5 stars based on the fact that I have furnished my entire home from Aaron's. Obviously, everyone has their own opinions but as for mine...My start to finish at Aaron's came with some, but few frustrations. That being said COMMUNICATION IS KEY! These people will work with you if you just communicate with them. In a world where not everything is perfect a few times I had to call or visit the store to correct an issue. One thing I didn't like was the turn over in employees the Laurel location has. That alone I think is what caused a lot of confusion during the time I was with Aaron's. Again, if you just communicate, MOST of the staff is decent enough to work through whatever it is you may need. Alex is the manager I've dealt with the most. Kudos to you and your team.
