Rent-A-Center

got a switch 2 from here and they are very nice and awesome. very nice guys like Matt and Tim and everyone. Edit: I’m telling ya all who read this, rent a center in Lewiston is incredible, spectacular, amazing. Everyone there is so patient with me and I am autistic so the fact that Matt Tim Steve everyone go above and beyond for me should indicate that this is where to go for whatever you need, trust me on that! 😁 you guys at rent a center are the greatest! 💯✌🏻

The manager is great, the rest of the employees are rude, lack the customer service needed for their job, and honestly need to find a different job that dont require them to work with the public. I called to speak with the manager, Tim (and employee there) was very rude, kept me on hold for over 30 minutes, and assumed I wanted to rent anything from him after his rudeness. After being on hold for over 30 minutes I hung up and called back, asked to speak to the manager, was told he wasn't available and to wait on hold. After being put on hold the phone went dead so I think its safe to say that Tim ended the call and didnt tell the manager I was calling to speak with him. Do NOT recommend going through this RAC until the manager finds better employees.

Store Manager, Matthew Grover was so helpful throughout the rental process. I am out of state but needed to rent a recliner for my elderly Mom. Matt went out of his way to search for a recliner and it was delivered to Freeport within a day. Great customer service! Not something you often find these days. Thank you!

I like the people working there. I think they're great and I've purchased most of my furniture through them. When you can't afford to buy things outright, unfortunately you end up going to a rental place to rent by the week or month, which makes the initial investment a lot easier to handle. However, over the long run, you're paying an exorbitant amount! An item that costs outright for $1000 will end up costing you around $3000 by the time you're done paying for it over time. And they try to tack on other fees for things like insurance and other fees which you really don't need. I don't like that. Rent to own has its advantages but over the long run, it's way too expensive. Overall, this is my go to store for rent to own. They are better than some of the other places.

I called the store to obtain my rental agreement number. When I called I was asked to give my number for a call back because the person who answered had customers in the store. The agreement number would have been something that was simple to look up, and would not have taken any time. However, I've been a customer in the store who has had to wait for the employee to take phone calls, so I understood. A week later and I'm still waiting for that phone call- but thankfully I'm on vacation and cleaned out my closet and found my rental agreement so I can sign into my account to make this review. Moral of the story is that customer service goes a long way, but didn't go so far in this case.
