What to Expect at This Store
Visiting a rent-to-own store is straightforward. Here is a general overview of what to bring and how the process typically works. Requirements may vary — contact Rent-A-Center directly to confirm.
What to Bring
- Valid photo ID — driver's license, state ID, or passport
- Proof of income — recent pay stub, bank statement, or benefits letter
- Proof of residence — utility bill, lease agreement, or mail with your address
- Personal references — typically 3-4 contacts with phone numbers
How It Works
- 1 Browse in store — choose from available furniture, appliances, electronics, and more
- 2 Apply — no traditional credit check at most stores; approval is based on income and residency
- 3 Get approved — many stores offer same-day approval and immediate access to your items
- 4 Delivery or pickup — most stores include free delivery, setup, and ongoing service/maintenance
Typically included with rent-to-own agreements:
Free delivery and setup, service and maintenance for the life of the agreement, the option to return items at any time without penalty, and an early purchase option (EPO) to buy the item outright before the lease ends. Rent-to-own is not a loan or credit purchase. Specific terms vary by store.

Let’s be real who can’t afford 20-35 a week that’s 1 order for me this place sucks I am a man of my word should’ve took my business I said I would 1 star you guys everyday and I meant it just like I would’ve paid my bill. It’s like discrimination against my work this should be illegal
Previously I had great experience at the Clinton, Ia location, moved and had to go to the Dubuque, Ia location and I had nothing but problems with them, every piece of furniture I got was cheaply made and fell apart easily. At first they were good about it (Abby was great to work with), then the last time i ended up getting behind on payments, John was rude, disrespectful and talks horribly to his customers when they don't give him the answer he wanted. He has horrible people and customer service skills. I've waited months to post this, in hopes I'd change my feelings, but nothing has changed, I've spent a lot of money there and even have a washer dryer credit I'll never be using since I no longer needed my set. I'll look else where to take my service.
Came home to a broken window I called, spoke to John and asked if they came to the house they said yes until the window was mentioned and then denied ever coming to the house then got mad at me for of course getting upset when he initially lied to me and he had the nerve to demand an apology from me before offering one to me for telling me they were at my house till the I brought up the window. Still waiting for the neighbor to pull video but still very unprofessional and what was the need to lie?
The lady that assisted us when we were going to purchase a set of washer/dryer was really nice until we called to say we didn't need it we found a different set. Then while on the phone with my husband she started talking to some else so my husband said thanks anyway and she replied yeah bye and hung up. Very unprofessional. Tone in her voice was not very nice. So much for any future business and anyone I speak with.
