What to Expect at This Store

Visiting a rent-to-own store is straightforward. Here is a general overview of what to bring and how the process typically works. Requirements may vary — contact Rent-A-Center directly to confirm.

What to Bring

  • Valid photo ID — driver's license, state ID, or passport
  • Proof of income — recent pay stub, bank statement, or benefits letter
  • Proof of residence — utility bill, lease agreement, or mail with your address
  • Personal references — typically 3-4 contacts with phone numbers

How It Works

  1. 1 Browse in store — choose from available furniture, appliances, electronics, and more
  2. 2 Apply — no traditional credit check at most stores; approval is based on income and residency
  3. 3 Get approved — many stores offer same-day approval and immediate access to your items
  4. 4 Delivery or pickup — most stores include free delivery, setup, and ongoing service/maintenance

Typically included with rent-to-own agreements:

Free delivery and setup, service and maintenance for the life of the agreement, the option to return items at any time without penalty, and an early purchase option (EPO) to buy the item outright before the lease ends. Rent-to-own is not a loan or credit purchase. Specific terms vary by store.

RAC tried to get me with unwarranted fees when I paid my W/D set off. They were missing a part so I left about $100 before the internet kicked in. Got the part, tried to pay it off and they wanted to charge a late fee even though they were holding all except for little over $100 for my pay off. I had to semi snap to get them to remove the fee. This was one of my worst experiences using places like this. 1/10 for sure. Update, they did waive the additional fees and I was able to get my Ownership certificate without further delay. I can increase my rating to 7/10. They were too thirsty for me to leave a card on file and that made me uncomfortable. Hopefully I won't need this type of services anymore. Overall, I felt micro Managed when paying, and finally felt valued when I paid it off before interest was due.

Good, I wish you had more selection in tool and power tools. Possibly offer more than just Dewalt, like add in Milwaukee or Makita products. Also I wish you would bring back the electric bikes? Would it be possible to special order something that isn't held at your store?

I got a living room set, and A bedroom set when the movers moved my furniture ended up getting mud all over my brand new carpet of my condo without wearing booties very unprofessional and then my king size bed it was falling apart installation with a week I also seen the movers in the Rent-A-Center truck smoking weed And also smelled it because I went out there to see if I can help outside on the property in front. Seem to be high during installation of my furniture during a late night. Might explain why my furniture and bedroom set is falling apart The furniture is cheaply make and sold for more And a never receive all the pieces to my bedroom set to my Bed. And they call harassing if you forget a one time payment even if your a busy person.that is true statement

All my knobs on my dresser came off within the first week of receiving bedroom set. Also the rent a center on Rollins in Roundlake ILL s the absolute worst store to rent from if you are one date past door they are calling you non stop. They also come to your house non stop even if you call them and set up a payment arrangement due to life hardships. It’s literally borderline stalking . It should be illegal the way they hawk you down. They sent text, emails, call references , they call you all day it’s so annoying and ridiculous . I literally didn’t pay my rent to pay them off completely to get them off my back. I’m glad I paid them and never look forward to rent from them again.

We've been a customer of theirs for about 5 years now. The convenience of this place is about the only pro. If you get it paid within 6 months is the only way you get a bang for your buck. I love Carlos he's always been really friendly and helpful to me and my family, Lewis on the other hand is rude with no type of people skills. I would only recommend this place to people with bad credit who can't get approved elsewhere.
