What to Expect at This Store
Visiting a rent-to-own store is straightforward. Here is a general overview of what to bring and how the process typically works. Requirements may vary — contact Aaron's directly to confirm.
What to Bring
- Valid photo ID — driver's license, state ID, or passport
- Proof of income — recent pay stub, bank statement, or benefits letter
- Proof of residence — utility bill, lease agreement, or mail with your address
- Personal references — typically 3-4 contacts with phone numbers
How It Works
- 1 Browse in store — choose from available furniture, appliances, electronics, and more
- 2 Apply — no traditional credit check at most stores; approval is based on income and residency
- 3 Get approved — many stores offer same-day approval and immediate access to your items
- 4 Delivery or pickup — most stores include free delivery, setup, and ongoing service/maintenance
Typically included with rent-to-own agreements:
Free delivery and setup, service and maintenance for the life of the agreement, the option to return items at any time without penalty, and an early purchase option (EPO) to buy the item outright before the lease ends. Rent-to-own is not a loan or credit purchase. Specific terms vary by store.

Sent dryer in for repair 7 weeks ago it's paid off but bought insurance. Everything we call to see when its coming back they tell us they don't know its " in service" finally Mike tells us it's back so we drove 45 mins to pick it up since they couldn't bring it back to us for two weeks...get there and they tell us they don't have it.. Im pretty sure they stole our dryer. If this is how they do business. Its a wonder they are still open....they used to be awesome. Now they are just horrible
VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!! Do not communicate at all . I was suppose be purchasing 2 items Was told that I was denied online for the order multiple attempts so I went in store found something I like . They waited till the DELIVERY DAY THEY ASSIGNED TO ME !!!!!! The GENERAL MANAGER DENIED ME WITHOUT A EXPLANATION. NO UPDATES from phone call or email ! Was told from one of they workers they did not know and the general manger is not in and I would have to wait till they call me ! So yes I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone DEFINITELY GET A zero from me for the unprofessional / Lack of Communication . Rude staff ! I have NEVER DID BUSINESS LIKE THIS WITH ANYONE WHO DONT KNOW HOW TO COMMUNICATE ?
I HAVE BEEN WAITING ON THE COCKTAIL TABLE TO GO WITH THE END TABLES THAT THEY DELIVERED FOR ONE MONTH NOW, I HAD TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE PEOPLE AT THE STORE IN FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS STORE ARE SO RUDE. THEY DON'T CALL BACK WHEN THEY SAY THEY WILL OR THEY PUT ME ON HOLD FOR TO LONG. I'M STILL NOT SURE WHEN I WILL GET THE TABLE. AND I HAVE NOT MISSED NOT ONE PAYMENT, I HAVE NEVER BEEN LATE WITH MY PAYMENT. IT'S SAD 😢😭
Worst experience. We ordered a washer/dryer set and a king mattress. Someone called and told us we could get it sooner if we took washer/dryer from their floor at store (still 6 days). Someone called and we did. She set up delivery date and time. Waited the 6 days and in delivery day was told it wasn’t being delivered. Called and still waiting for someone to call us back. Go to Rent to Own or another place. This place is a joke.
I would just like everyone to be aware NOT to purchase from Aaron’s in Fairview Heights! I got a washer & dryer set from them & had one payment left but my washer was being repaired. They returned the washer and the upon using it a ton of roaches were in it when I opened it. They admitted to me they had several customer complaints and they got a fridge from someone with roaches & they missed bombing it. I asked for a full refund (they came and got the washer & dryer immediately when I called them) and they told me they would pay off my contract in full (wow a whole $50) and would give me a new set. However, since my brand new home has been exposed to roaches, I have no interest in anymore products from them EVER. I thought everyone should be aware! UPDATE: Karen the GM of the store just called me and told me she ain’t giving me a refund, she has canceled my account and now has gotten all the money for the washer & dryer minus $71.49 & I also do not have my washer and dryer. So I’m out about $3000 now.
