They don’t keep they word sold my furniture after they told me they would hold it for me then still tried to get paid for the furniture crazy work

Actually, zero stars. Just visiting to a relatives house and have two thugs that work for them come pounding on my family members door for a laptop that no payments were ever made on. The pounding shook the walls and scared the crap out of everyone in the house. If the person who placed the order didn't answer your multiple phone calls why would you still continue with the delivery. And when someone calls to complain, you could be way more professional than basically blowing Off the person's complaint. I've never been a customer. I never will be a customer now and I will never tell anyone to go to Rent-A-Center ever. If you would choose to use Rent-A-Center, And paid double the price you would pay at a store. I surely would not use this location in Elgin as they have no customer service and are completely unprofessional.

From the beginning of my relationship with this store, customer service has been poor. On my first issue, a delivery driver came to my home to retrieve an item even though I had already made my payment. There was no apology or accountability for the error. Additionally, the store enforces aggressive collection behavior. There is no grace period for payments, and customers are immediately threatened with item pickup after being only one day late. Most recently, I contacted the store to open a new agreement for a laptop under a current promotion advertised as requiring only a $10 initial payment. A representative initially confirmed the promotion and began processing the agreement. However, after consulting with a manager, I was told I would instead need to pay a full month upfront due to previous late payments. When I asked for clarification, I received conflicting explanations. First, I was told the higher payment was due to my payment history. Then the manager claimed it was a policy for all electronics. This contradiction suggests either misinformation or dishonesty. When I attempted to calmly address the inconsistency, the manager interrupted me, hung up the phone, and repeatedly answered and disconnected my subsequent calls. I then contacted other Rent-A-Center locations in my area and they all stated that is not a thing. This is down right discrimination and I will be escalating this to the highest level possible. Wrong person to be rude to. 😊

The new manger at this store is very rude and and does not have good customer service skills at all please don’t go to this store they are very unprofessional I was 2 days late which I pay my bill all the time they came to my house bagging on my door hard which made my neighbor think someone was breaking in she called me and told me they was ringing my bell a lot and bagging on my door screaming my name out calling reference talking about they about to put me out just lieing they treated me as if I don’t pay my bill woke my neighbor sick mom up off put her sleep pleased don’t shop at this store

I got a real good deal at Rent-A-Center I've been there customer for several years they are very honest people I will recommend Rent-A-Center to anybody go to Elgin Rent-A-Center and ask for Rick he will take care of you he took good care of me and I am happy I'm ready for the party tomorrow thanks to Rick at Elgin Rent-A-Center
