I have never rented anything from Rent-A-Center and had such a bad experience I've always rented things I've been late a few times and I've always paid it off in full a big chunk when I got my income taxes well this current thing that I have I am a week late and they are literally showing up at my door after I spoke to not only the store manager but a crew member at the store and corporate I was given 48 hours for the corporate manager to get back to me on me getting a deferment or an extension on my payment the store manager had even gave me till 4:00 p.m. and they still showed up at my door at 11:30 a.m. what happened to the 4:00 p.m. either way it's very unprofessional and heartless especially considering the only reason why I'm late is because I had to transition funds so that I could go to Georgia for a funeral they are not sorry for my loss and they do not have sympathy for my situation I thought in most cases they would work with you rather than taking back used furniture that they can't even sell it the full price anymore. Horrible customer service as well when I first signed up the young lady working behind the register was very ghetto and unprofessional and the conversation they were holding while she was trying to assist me was not appropriate. I would not recommend this store..... and then not to mention it's Christmas like wow!!
I just went through some crazy bait and switch "USE PLATINUM REWARDS AT CHECKOUT" - so I do - to get a phone call 4 days later asking for payment - WHAT - I said last time when yall did the little thing with not connecting my dryer - it was going to be the last purchase - but you secured it with this. How do you offer a program - then back out - and to be told "I need to call the store" FIRST OFF - I have never been to a location - hence the online ordering - I know that I placed my order correctly because I have the email from the order - and then your rep wants to slight argue with me over what you think I don't know - like I haven't been a customer longer than most of your employees have even been there. No, I don't need to call the store to use a reward that is listed on my online account - that is a whole lie.
I have had enough of these people seriously, they are so unprofessional the recent staff.. Eric was the one I always dealt with and he was kind and helpful to me , there is a man a very rude one that is just so nasty and never reads the text messages, his name is Robert. I have 2-3 payments left on this account and I will be paid off and I cannot wait because he is the worst employee I have ever encountered in the time I've rented from them. I just cannot wait to be done so that I don't have to deal with this store again. I was going to continue my services once I am done with this account but I refuse to deal with that man. Please find another person to make courtesy call to customers cause he sucks.
HELP!! I HAVE A SERIOUS ISSUE AT THIS STORE. I called corporate to help me they gave me a case number and said the D.R. would contact me in 24-48 hrs. this is on 12-21 24. I gave them a week and no call so I called corporate again and got another case no. I was told they were sorry and it was escalated.and again they would contact me in 24-48 hrs it has been another week tomarrow I called today they assured me I would get a call...nope. I have bought several things here with another manager and always had a great repore I have been lied to repeatedly and I was told by the store manager Eric that he could not afford another bad review I gave them EVERY benefit of doubt and I am not even going into the reasons I need to talk to corporate
Bought a laptop a few years ago. Paid in full. Laptop died within 2 months of payoff. When I tried to contact the manufacturer it said that the manufacturer warranty expired 6 months before I even bought it. So not only do they sell you outdated equipment,the quality is terrible. I also tried to rent something after this, a piece of furniture and for some reason was denied ! and they say that they can't find my record of my laptop payments anywhere but I have EVERY receipt in my email. Steer clear. I called corporate for answers. ZERO HELP. couldn't tell me anything. Who is running this company?!?!?!
