What to Expect at This Store
Visiting a rent-to-own store is straightforward. Here is a general overview of what to bring and how the process typically works. Requirements may vary — contact Rent-A-Center directly to confirm.
What to Bring
- Valid photo ID — driver's license, state ID, or passport
- Proof of income — recent pay stub, bank statement, or benefits letter
- Proof of residence — utility bill, lease agreement, or mail with your address
- Personal references — typically 3-4 contacts with phone numbers
How It Works
- 1 Browse in store — choose from available furniture, appliances, electronics, and more
- 2 Apply — no traditional credit check at most stores; approval is based on income and residency
- 3 Get approved — many stores offer same-day approval and immediate access to your items
- 4 Delivery or pickup — most stores include free delivery, setup, and ongoing service/maintenance
Typically included with rent-to-own agreements:
Free delivery and setup, service and maintenance for the life of the agreement, the option to return items at any time without penalty, and an early purchase option (EPO) to buy the item outright before the lease ends. Rent-to-own is not a loan or credit purchase. Specific terms vary by store.

Worst experience I’ve ever dealt with dealing with a renter I lost my job at a restaurant and I missed one week of a payment and I do have the money to pay the payment now, but they don’t want to work with me instead they hound me when I can return the merchandise Knocking on my door consistently and calling me and not to mention the customer service is very rude. All they want is your money in the beginning so they can make some money off of you and then miss one payment they come and try to get it. They don’t even give you a grace. Period. Not worth my time and money. I suggest going to Aaron’s or Happys had a lot better experience with them in the past and fully payed my merchandise with them.
Im just saying, all these businesses need to stop acting like they care about the people in their area after a disaster strikes because i continue to see a lack of concern or any latitude being given at all. I was displaced from the hurricane my house utterly destroyed with everything in it and i get dragged for days and days only to be told that they can't do anything for me until i have moved into the new place. I don't like being in a motel either but the fact that I've lived in the Tampa Bay area my whole life doesn't come in to play? Of course not, and you care so much about the victims right?
The people here are very friendly and professional. They helped me find what I was looking for, and answered all my questions. Highly recommended
Joshua at the front desk was polite but acted like he did’t want to do his job AT ALL. John the store manager didn’t greet us when we walked in and walked past us twice without speaking, then when we asked him for help he was frustrated with me and my wife. He was extremely unprofessional and rude. I was highly unimpressed and would not recommend.
I am writing to address a matter of concern regarding your policies, procedures, and code of conduct for customer service. The tone and behavior displayed by your representative during our conversation were highly inappropriate. Consequently, I have decided to terminate my contract with your company and discontinue any further business. As per the agreement, all bike-related work is supposed to be handled by your company. However, I was informed that I am solely responsible for any issues. If this is indeed the case, I request the immediate termination of my contract. I anticipate a prompt response.
