I've been a customer of RAC in Putnam Ct for eight years now and I have never been disappointed with the items that I purchased. I've purchased, bedroom set ,living room set, dinning room set, washer and dryer set,a swivel rocker recliner chair, lamps, coffee table and end tables, mattress, easy lift bed frame, and Tv's. Arthur Caudill is one of the assistant managers, who is always kind and willing to assist me in getting the best for my money. The store Manager Paul and the other assistant manager Scott have also been very kind and helpful to me as well; Dave who helped with my deliveries has also been kind and considerate towards me. I truly appreciate these gentlemen and the hard work that they do for their customers. Keep up the good work guys! God bless you all always!!!

We parked our RV near the laundromat so we wouldn’t have to carry heavy laundry across the entire plaza. The lot was nearly empty, and we weren’t blocking anyone. I even explained this politely. Instead of acting like a normal human, a Rent-A-Center employee immediately got aggressive. He claimed I was “blocking the road,” which is completely false, the photo I took proves exactly the opposite. Then it became obvious what the real issue was: We parked in “his” spot. Because as soon as we left with the RV, he pulled his truck right into the exact same place he claimed I was “blocking the road.” So this wasn’t about safety, traffic, or the business. This was about his personal parking spot and a power trip. To top it off, he “tried” to block my camper with his truck, which is not only unprofessional but also dangerous and threatening. There are no signs restricting RV parking, and this is a shared plaza, not his private driveway..

this company requires weekly friday payments & refuses to work with other payment plans. at first, the men who delivered my couch & entertainment center seemed nice. but they were late & I could tell my items were used. they shoved my electric fireplace in the wrong way (thankfully my husband fixed it), & forgot the couch pillows, which they had to come back for later. after making more payments, we were able to add a washer & dryer. they were scheduled for delivery between 12–3 but showed up at 10am. I was home alone with my 6-month-old daughter, & one of the delivery men told me to put her down for a nap to shovel my walkway, or they couldn’t deliver. I explained I have a bad back, was home alone, & offered for them to come back another time once the walkway was cleared. he asked if my husband could do it, but he works an hour away and wouldn’t be home until late. the delivery man finally said he would “come back on his last rounds to see if it’s shoveled.” the way he spoke to me was pushy & completely inappropriate. my husband was so upset that he called & canceled the entire order that day, scheduling a day he knew he could be home with us. Rent-A-Center doesn’t just stop there… in this picture, this is the same delivery driver that was completely unprofessional & he’s one of the account managers that work here!! they will park down the street, sneak up to your door, knock obnoxiously even when you’re not home, & go as far as threaten you with their personal spiritual beliefs. I feel unsafe in my own home because of them, even with everything going to collections & nothing directly owed, I fear the harassment won’t stop. I would never recommend this place to anyone!!! this guy should be terminated, this behavior is inappropriate for a debt collector.

I'm really hoping to be able to use rent a center again!! We need to get a washer and dryer. I've had MAJOR MEDICAL problem and had some issues paying but I've NEVER not caught up and just tried keeping an item. So I'm hoping and praying we can use you guys again to get a washer and dryer 🙏 😀. We can't afford to go and pay out right we don't have that kind of money sadly !! The service of debt to own is so Gabbert and helps us poor ppl sooo much!! The only thing is how much you increase the cost of the item of not paid off before the end you pay like double for items.

I was willing to pay triple price on a TV and everything but with the way they run their business it's better to just go without. I made a payment on a TV that the rca input doesn't even work, once I realized I switched it out and was told he would take a month off the payments, but never did. Fast forward a week (I was set on a biweekly schedule) and they're telling me I have to pay. So I do then they tell me I owe the 14 day payment 3 days later. I stupidly made the 14 day payment. I checked my account and was not only not given credit for the 7 day payment I just made. But they didn't give me any credits for the monthly payment I just placed on the last TV (which was within its return period and defective)
