Visiting a rent-to-own store is straightforward. Here is a general overview of what to bring and how the process typically works. Requirements may vary — contact Aaron's directly to confirm.
What to Bring
- Valid photo ID — driver's license, state ID, or passport
- Proof of income — recent pay stub, bank statement, or benefits letter
- Proof of residence — utility bill, lease agreement, or mail with your address
- Personal references — typically 3-4 contacts with phone numbers
How It Works
- 1 Browse in store — choose from available furniture, appliances, electronics, and more

Typically included with rent-to-own agreements:
Free delivery and setup, service and maintenance for the life of the agreement, the option to return items at any time without penalty, and an early purchase option (EPO) to buy the item outright before the lease ends. Rent-to-own is not a loan or credit purchase. Specific terms vary by store.

Aaron's is operated and managed by employees that are clearly uneducated, lack professionalism and not able to speak in complete sentences. No store should be managed in the manner that this Aaron's store is. Employee turnover is frequent, including managers, the accounting is shoddy and suspect... meaning basic math skills is not exhibited by the employees. It's important for customers to have things in writing, request receipts 🧾 for payments and always get the name of the employee handling your transactions. Also, check bank records to ensure charges are correct and there are no additional add-ons for services not requested or signed up for. Additionally, professional behavior does not require a high school diploma. Employees demonstrate lack of knowledge on business etiquette, pronunciation of simple words and the inability to focus on the customer at hand due to easily distracted by side conversations with fellow comedic employees and ensuing laughter or the exchange of comments. The distractions may cause errors, such as an employee wrongly entering credit card information or dollar amount. This store front has been around for a long time and it's unfortunate that the employees do not act or represent professionalism. I do not recommend Aaron's. There are better options for customers to frequent in the Sacramento area.
The poorest customer service that i've ever encountered. The entire transition with this store has been a zero star experience, from damaged items, to promising deliveries yet never showing up, being routed to call back, delivery drivers never showing up, delivery drivers messing up when building items, the list really goes on. The overall lack of communication between the store is not worth the hassle. I'd highly recommend shopping elsewhere where you are going to be valued and overall treated with respect.
If I could leave zero stars I would. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! Unprofessional, disorganized, and disrespectful employees. I ordered a sectional from them and waiting from 8am to 3pm for it to be delivered. I called the store throughout the day and was told that they were just running late. Nobody showed up that day. I called the next day and and rescheduled. The next delivery date was two weeks out but the scheduled the delivery. That day came and I waited all day and nobody came. I couldnt reach anyone at the store either. This place is a straight up joke. I'm filing a report with the better business burea too.
This is absolutely absurd and beyond understanding. Over 2 weeks ago I ordered a simple bed with a headboard. To make a long story short I have a mattress a box spring and a metal frame so far. The store manager his name is edwick, says there is a staff shortage. He has no one to help him. I can identify with that and understand. Then before they get ready to deliver, he tells me I need more apparatus for my bed and it end up costing me $16 more a month. Payments went from $75 to over $90 a month. I'm scared to death to say anything because I don't want what I have already taken away again. I did not want to go to Rent-A-Center, because they make you pay almost 12 months more then Aaron's, and I did not go to them because their monthly payment amounts to 128 the only problem I'm having at this point is that it's only a $22 difference to get a better brand and have everything delivered properly and intact. I am so disappointed because I have thought that I had finally found some place that was fair to the general public. I was certainly wrong on this first purchase I have been on the phone to Atlanta Georgia corporate office twice now and I am still in a rotten position this is pitiful and very unprofessional
One young man all by himself handling everything by himself. He really needs some help. And not doing a good job at it. Update…. I have been paying on a 55” tv for almost a year now with a year to go and the other day my grand daughters were playing in the living room with my cat and the tv fell. Oh well accident happened,so I called you guys to let you know what happened and I was told to call back in a week for them to check around different locations for a tv for me. Now I call back this week to find out that you don’t even give a loner tv to a customer if they need it. Why does my renters insurance have to take care of my tv while you still claim I’m renting it? Answer that question for me please…,,Update all I need to say as this matter has been taken care of by an angel named Mr. P from upper management in Aaron’s thank you Mr. P you are an angel from above 🤗😋
