What to Expect at This Store

Visiting a rent-to-own store is straightforward. Here is a general overview of what to bring and how the process typically works. Requirements may vary — contact Aaron's directly to confirm.

What to Bring

  • Valid photo ID — driver's license, state ID, or passport
  • Proof of income — recent pay stub, bank statement, or benefits letter
  • Proof of residence — utility bill, lease agreement, or mail with your address
  • Personal references — typically 3-4 contacts with phone numbers

How It Works

  1. 1 Browse in store — choose from available furniture, appliances, electronics, and more
  2. 2 Apply — no traditional credit check at most stores; approval is based on income and residency
  3. 3 Get approved — many stores offer same-day approval and immediate access to your items
  4. 4 Delivery or pickup — most stores include free delivery, setup, and ongoing service/maintenance

Typically included with rent-to-own agreements:

Free delivery and setup, service and maintenance for the life of the agreement, the option to return items at any time without penalty, and an early purchase option (EPO) to buy the item outright before the lease ends. Rent-to-own is not a loan or credit purchase. Specific terms vary by store.

First experience buying a washer and dryer was great. My second experience with an employee named Seth was uncomfortable and felt like he was just pushing my husband and I out of the store and didn’t want us to get anything that we came there for. He essentially gave us a card and said “apply” and when I started he said “oh, you want to do it right now? You can also do it online.” First visit - 10/10 would recommend. Second visit- 1/10 and will be walking out if I need to use Aaron’s in the future and see Seth would be the one “helping” me.

It's Aaron's. Overpriced. Rarely do you get all the components for the items you get from them. Example; I recently ordered a Samsung washer and dryer, they came to install it, the dryer has a steam function on it, so it needs a water line. They didn't bring a hose or even the line splitter with them. I was told, I just needed to go into the store and ask for one... why do I need to? Either way, I went to the store, and after waiting 40 min to be helped, I said what I needed from them, they said they would look in the back. Another 20 min later. The manager comes to me to say that the units don't come with those hook-ups and I need to go to Home Depot or somewhere to purchase them on my own. My question to her was, why would they not have the hook-ups to the "brand new" units I ordered? She had no response. They are rip offs and take serious advantage of their customers. I was one day late on my payment, they blew up my phone, and every person I put down as a reference was called multiple times that day. And that's after I called them, to let them know that I was going to be late. That's ridiculous!

I walked in the front door, walked around the whole store looking at the furniture, and walked out again without ever being greeted, and likely without anyone even knowing I was in the store. When I opened the door, I heard a bell go off notifying staff that someone had entered the store. There was also a random bike sitting out on the floor and furniture and appliances in various stages of unpacking out where customers view what is available to buy. The store didn't do a good job presenting their limited selection. I won't be going back to this location.

I bought a washer for my wife some time back. The sales staff was helpful at the time of purchase. Informative, pleasant with no pressure to buy. I made my choice, set up our monthly payments and a time to deliver. The twp gentleman that delivered our washer took their time and hooked it up and showed us how it worked. Removed the old washer outside. We are happy with our purchase, our monthly payment and the service we received. Thank you Aarons!!!

I have well over paid on my washer and dryer set near or over 3,000 and I still "owe" them another 1,000 dollars just interest and it keeps going up. I've been struggling with medical problems. I found out I have a tumor on my liver and causing such extreme pain I have hardly been able to Work basically living at the hospital and when you are "late" like your payment Is due the 15th and the 15th they start blowing up your and every person you put down as a contact legit 100 times a day with a ton of different numbers and no compassion in my health problems and the fact that my washer and dryer price is way over paid off and I'm legit only paying their fees. I'm considering having a lawyer look over my contracts I did online with them when I thought I paid the product almost in full and only owe a little. But one day I got a call and my balance due like trippled! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE! they are scam artists Oh and will come bang on your door like cops and try and repossess "their products" that were only supposed to be 2,000k but ended up being 4k and keeps going up because of my health.. RUN AWAY! There's a reason these stores are always empty! Overpriced, over paid on interest and very rude employees.. also there's a huge dent in my 2,000 dollar washer because their drugged out sloppy install people who showed up after 8pm and where all in and through out my house and using the restroom and stayed for an hour or so when my laundry room is directly through the garage? also kept asking to have stuff in my garage when they were moving and removing boxes outside my house? Then banged the washer getting it in my door and all they said was oops! (Which caused a huge dent) I called there was nothing the manager would do for me. When my brand new washer broke it took 2 months and multiple "appointments" with no one showing up, no working washer, no replacement washer all I pay for.. until I finally called and they let me know the guy who was in charge of repairs no longer works there because of shady stuff he was doing told to me by a manager and than FINALLY sent out LG to fix my washer done in 15 mins, after 2 months of waiting and paying on a washer I could not use. Not worth paying double and dealing with these non educated rude people will make your life a lot better avoid this place! Go to home Depot or Lowe's even sears get your appliances else where your piece of mind and your safety. Look at ever other store reviews too. Nothing good! RUN AWAY and spend your money wisley else where! I'll post my contract and how much I have paid and still owe once I get paper copies from AARON'S which they don't like to do! UPDATE.. A guy from Aarons called me from this review he stated and I didn't get his name but he seriously started the conversation off with what do you want 🤔 I'd gladly take my 800/wk job back your company caused me to lose for not picking up my broken washer and bringing me a loaner for 2 straight months! But I said I don't know and started explaining my experience with him since day one! And he told me he was going to waive off the remaining balance I owed which is great of them and when I told him I didn't even know they could do that he said uh-huh sure! And called me a liar about why I lost my job. I worked at a marketing/social media company working to bringing new customs I loved my job and my clients and bosses even the owner loved me but when your constantly missing work a day/ half a day each week 2 months straight I lost my job the week after it finally got fixed and didn't take a half a day. I never missed work I had csection where I almost bleed to death but was at work 2 weeks later because I loved my job. I started at 9/hr and worked really hard to get up to the pay is was getting and everyone at my job loved me but this guy called me a liar on the phone again and told me he thinks it was something else that caused me to lose my job 🤔 does anyone know a manager/job that will allow you to miss work every single week for 2 months. Glad it's over. I WILL NOT MAKE THAT MISTAKE AGAIN!
