Not my experience but was present with a relative when a male employee talked terrible to her over the phone. He raised his voice more than once. She was explaining her hardship to pay, she has dialysis 3x a week, but they wouldn’t work with her. There’s no reason for him to have talked to her the way he did. I am a previous cx with them but never again. Word of advice…if you rent from them, be aware they don’t give a care about you, they want your money!
I DO NOT Recommend anyone rent from Aaron's especially the store in Russellville, AL Poor communication both from the sales person & Manager. Refusal to deliver a product purchased on Ecommerce (online) failure to communicate or return calls, spoke repeatedly over me & blamed my bank for a charge Aaron's caused wrongfully. Twice I dealt with the manager Mr Tim & he spoke over me, was argumentative & failed to return calls communicate or resolve issues in a timely manner. The sales lady told me I had to resign a contract I already signed online thru Ecommerce ,which was not true. Then Both the sales lady & the Manager Mr Tim told me I had to sign up for Auto Pay, again not true & per my signed contract states the option to do Auto Pay or Not do so. I chose Not to. It also gives You the option to pay online or in the store, not just Auto Pay I told Mr Tim due to previous issues being overcharged on Auto Pay I will not do that & per my signed contract not required to. The Russellville AL Store Manager told Me it is company policy , that I have to sign up for Auto Pay which again is not true Mr Tim told me if I don't sign up for Auto Pay he won't set up a delivery date. Mind You the product was purchased online thru Aaron's, paid for & I have an email stating said product was at my local store that said local store would set up a delivery date. Not only was it not delivered, but the store failed to communicate or call (as I was told by Ecommerce) the store would call me to set up a delivery date. Mr Tim the manager was uncooperative, would not set up a delivery date & a complaint has been filed both W/ corporate & the BBB to resolve said issue & cancel said contract & refund my money. Corporate after nearly 2 weeks has been little help. As corporate stated a regional manager or upper person attempted to call me may 8th. Another false statement as I never recieved a call nor is my issue resolved nor money refunded Do not rent from Aaron's, save the headache instead.
I dont recommend anyone to rent from them. False advertising online saying theyll adjust your payments due to hard ships. Husband lost job in june (right b4 we had our baby) and we missed July payment. We have been renting for 2 years and never late nor missed a payment till lose of income. We stayed in contact and explained the situation. We expected them to adjust the monthly payments so we could continue to rent. But no they did not honor that. Since August weve been paying what we can each month at least 100 or close to original payment agreement of 233.00. We have hardly went 2 weeks or over without paying at least 40$ to catch up. Its not like weve went months without making any kind of effort to pay.. They act like the mob harassing us at home and calling every day demanding a full payment or telling us to give the furniture back. AND every time we pay in store with what little bit we have they add extra charges so our money barely pays the actual cost of what we are renting.. Most awful experience ever. Very unkind and rude employees especially the management. I suggest that anyone who needs home furnishings to just suffer without and save your money to pay for it in full retail price. If you go through Aaron's youll pay twice as much than regular retail price through interest tacked on. Example ps4 500.00 thru Aaron's itll be at least 1200.00
Went into the store Monday April 16 to look at lawn mowers. My husband and I decided to purchase the mower. The lady who did our paperwork and the manager we spoke with told us that the mower they had in stock was already spoken for. The soonest he would have one in the store was Wednesday April 18. Okay that’s fine. Before that the manager told us the application was a little more invested because the mower was over our price limit but we would hear something on Tuesday April 17. We did not hear anything back from the lady or manager. I called on Wednesday morning to find out what was going on and spoke to the same girl. The process of our application had not even started yet. She called my husband Wednesday night just making sure our address was correct. Then told my husband she or the manager would call back that night or the next day. Thursday April 19 rolled around and as of 3:00pm we hadn’t heard anything from anyone at the store so we called back. We knew the process finally started because most of our references called us to tell us. The manager got on the phone and said yes y’all are good to go, I was going to call but I just got back from lunch. We understand that, everyone needs to eat but if your going to run a successful business communication is a huge factor. We gave our payment. He told us that the guy who delivers had a drop in Vina and we should receive the mower not to long after the store opens on Saturday April 21. We have sat home all morning and haven’t heard anything. I called at 2:08pm to find out what was going on. Was told the guy is on his way. Here it is 3:48pm and still haven’t seen anyone. Normally I wouldn’t give a review but the communication and job performance could approve. We have a washer and dryer with Aaron’s and haven’t had a problem so their products are worth the little extra money if you can’t go out and pay cash right then, but the job performance of the employees and communication needs help. We finally got the lawnmower delivered and must say the delivery guy was very friendly and helpful.
My 16 year old daughter was one hour away from home in front of this store. She ran over an item in the road and her tire blew out. The gentleman working at this store refused to assist her because he "might get his shirt dirty". I don't know about you, but I try not to do business with this type of people.
