This store is extremely unprofessional! Both the manager and the delivery staff exhibit rude behavior, and I strongly advise against visiting this location. If it were possible to give zero stars, I would. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place entirely. While I can’t speak for all locations, my experience here guarantees that I will never return to any Rent-A-Center. My research has shown they have a consistently poor reputation, and I refuse to deal with them again.
Wanted to update, that after I wrote this review, I called the store to ask about my refund and Celia and Cody refused to help me, told me to “go to the store I purchased from then” and claimed they were never rude and have no idea why I was upset with their behavior. Then Cody gave a 5 star review because as you can see, this store has SEVERAL terrible customer service reviews. And then Celia had someone review talking about how great she was lol. This store is a joke! Don’t go there. Genuinely wish I could get the phone recordings because they were awful. I had paid the $10 for a washer and dryer & because it was being delivered to their store, it had a 1-2 week eta, to which I thought I was able to wait for. I ended up going to a different location just to see if there was anything quicker because unfortunately I could not wait any longer, I asked the said location if I went through them, if I was able to cancel with the Spanaway location, they said absolutely but cancelation can’t happen while active transportation is undergo so I’d have to wait until they received the unit. So, once Spanaway reached out to me it had been delivered, I replied via text explaining, and requested to cancel— no reply. The next day I texted again asking to cancel— no reply. So I call, and Celia was so incredibly passive aggressive/rude over the phone because I needed cancelation. Speaking to me in a very condescending tone as if she was offended. She also told me they will not refund me the $10 because it was a “custom order from whirl pool” so they “can’t” … granted.. it’s only $10. However, if she had a sliver of kindness I wouldn’t have asked. The “customer satisfaction guarantee” policy says regardless of custom order, it will be refunded, so she was being spiteful. It also still shows I owe them $199.24 on my account for an item I did not receive. This store is unprofessional, and I recommend going the extra mile to a different location worth shopping at. I have never written a bad review to anywhere or anything , hopefully that speaks for itself.
I have returned and paid for several items from the spa away store. The staff have always been great and Celia was so helpful at helping me figure out what I really needed. I would go to this store again.
Unfortunately I’m retracting my 5 star review for this establishment. At first it was a great place to go until I experienced my first horror story with their employee by the name of “Becky”. She claims to be a sales manager but didn’t know what she was selling me. I was trying to get more information on the “benefits plus” package that they basically force you to purchase (6$ a month). For those paying for it and unaware of the actual benefits they include discounts with other company’s and also financial assistance if you were to fall ill. In October I fell ill with pneumonia and was trying to explore my options but Becky at Spanaway rent a center had 0 idea what I was speaking about. Quite confusing that the “sales manager” Becky doesn’t know what “benefits plus” is. She said something about “if you die those benefits kick in” and I’m being so for real about that. Go ask Becky. Any way. The actual manager Leah or whatever wasn’t trying to help me “on a meeting” for the whole day. I walked back into the building to speak face to face about what this benefits plus thing is. She had the information I wanted but at this point I’ve already lost my confidence in this establishment. I used to like this place and now it upsets me. If you do business with these people make sure you keep your composure because proper customer service isn’t their strong suit and they genuinely do not care about their patrons. I will complete my contracts and move on. And one more thing don’t brag about being the sales manager and not know what you’re selling. It’s odd, and when a customer asks you about it don’t get upset gather the information from your higher up’s. This whole situation could’ve been avoided if you just helped me instead of trying to pass me off to someone else. Bye
I go thru this company when wanting to get stuff for my house. I’ve rented, paid off and rented some more. Amanda, Eric and Daniel are all amazing. They have put in so much work to make sure I stay a satisfied customer. They always call before they show up and if I’m late on a payment, instead of taking my stuff we come up with a plan to get it paid. The delivery is always on time and the stuff they sell is really nice items. The cash buy out price is always a good option too. I love that they offer that. Hey keep up the great work everyone and thank you for taking care of my family and I. Proud to be a customer.
