Rent-A-Center

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Rent-A-Center in Colonial Heights has been nothing short of upsetting. I expected professionalism and clear communication — but received the exact opposite. Not only was I misinformed about the terms of my agreement, but I was also shocked at how the store manager conducted themselves. Instead of focusing on my account, they seemed more concerned with other people’s accounts and business — which was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. It made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected, as if my privacy didn’t matter. When I tried to resolve things, I was met with vague answers and a dismissive attitude. It felt like my concerns were brushed aside, and I was even blamed for the confusion. I left feeling unheard and deeply dissatisfied. I expected more from a company that promotes customer support and flexible solutions. Unfortunately, this experience has left a bad impression, and I will not recommend this location to anyone.

The manager sold me a used bunk bed and lied and said it was brand new. I complained about it and demanded to speak to the district manager, she refused to give me the number so i could make my complaint. She had the nerve to text me from her personal phone and when i texted her bsck, she told me that this was her personal phone and rent a center doesnt pay her phone bill and to contact her at the store. I still have all her texts in my phone if anyone wants to see them.

Worst place to rent stuff from as it's under new management and they will never get my business after next Friday November 15th,2024. I'll take my business to Aaron's from now on. Since under new management, these people are so rude and they aren't going by payment plans. They will loose alot of customers. Rent a center will be going out of business before you know 😢

I have been waiting several weeks for my order to be delivered while they still take the weekly payment. I called and was put on hold. Called again was asked did I receive them like does it show you delivered it no. Called back talk to someone else was told he would call me back he couldn’t find one of the items. Guess what no call back yet. The employees or stealing the merchandise and playing dumb

My neighborhood RAC (@ 80 Southgate Square; Colonial Heights, VA) has some super awesome people that work in this store. The guys that work here are knowledgeable, fast with delivery, and they always offer me great customer service. My most recent purchase was a 86" TV.. and they were able to deliver within 2 days..and the delivery gentleman was superb!! I will always recommend RAC to my friends and family!
