⭐ 1 Star – Extremely Disappointed Customer beware fraudulent activity and zero customer service I went to Aaron’s in Bluefield, VA to purchase a simple, one-piece stackable washer and dryer—something I’ve owned before and was perfectly happy with. Instead, I was upsold on an overly complicated LG unit that turned out to be completely unsuitable for stacking due to excessive vibration. We realized the issue quickly and started calling multiple times a week—all through June—asking to exchange it for the simpler model we originally wanted. We were constantly given the runaround and never got a straight answer. Before the unit was even delivered, I prepaid nearly $220. I was told this was the full amount after tax, but come to find out, $15–$20 of that was for an “Aaron’s Club” warranty I explicitly declined. When I pulled up the digital contract, it was clear—I never even signed it. I eventually spoke with Greg, the so-called “general manager.” He was dismissive, unhelpful, and downright rude. He told me the $220 was gone and the only thing he could offer was a new lease on the original unit we asked for in the first place. And, of course, I’d have to prepay again. When I mentioned their mistake and that the machine had never even been used, he said, “You insisted on brand new equipment and now I have to mark it as used.” Seriously? To top it all off, he basically brushed off the unauthorized warranty charge and said he’d “ask the regional manager” about a refund—like he has no authority to resolve customer concerns. Save yourself the stress and frustration. Go to Lowe’s, Home Depot, or literally anywhere else. Aaron’s in Bluefield does not value honesty, customer service, or accountability.
I have been a customer with Aaron's for 10 years plus and have paid them as high as 400 a month never missed a payment or been late but I mostly dealt with Abingdon store and they was wonderful . I purchased a couch and tables and a used fridge from them. I paid on couch for a year and was having issues with couch it stopped reclining they come look at it didn't give me much of a resolution. I paid couple more months then checking i had paid 2600 on the couch still owe 2600 and it was broke . to be honest my dog had chew a place on arm the way we taped it with leather tape makes look worse than what it did i call them pick it up they come was rude when walk through door they had no intention of picking up the couch they refuse to take iit I was also returning the extra fridge i had that they brought to me all dented up on front and broken shelves definitely had excessive wear as they said but it was fine for them to rent to me that way . I agree to pay for repairs on arm which was all that was wrong with it that was not normal wear and tear after a month of it sitting in my dining room i agree to let them pick couch up and try fix it i told i pay when i seen couch was fixed in this time I kept my payment to date on tables i plan keep. My x hubby had called last month to make a payment on his card for tables he informed him and we have on recording that it was only for one time payment . we'll i missed a couple delivers because of already replanned dr apts im a foster parent and appts are given . so last delivery i missef i call them day before cause I had appts for my kids and told him my x hubby would come pick it up and check it and then i paid that day. Well the day before I was picking it up they had saved my x hubby card without permission and removed a 320 payment from his account with out consent . These people and especially Wes is rude and not professional at all ! I should have never left the Abingdon store but one bad apple ruins the whole bunch !
Don't buy anything from the Bluefield, VA store, if you don't plan on keeping it the entire time. I had to return my fairly recent purchase of a recliner. And ot took me from November 29th-December 16th for them to come and pick it up. Unfortunately my father passed away and I was keeping some of his furniture cause of this i did not need or want the recliner. It had been nothing but trouble to begin with. No one called me back the entire time when I was told they would. I had to have it in my way for way too long. And I told them I thought that they should do at least a partial refund for the recliner just for treating me the way they did. I got an email back and someone from my local store tried to call. I'm not speaking to anyone at that store after the way they done me. And they have lost a customer permanently.
I got a bed room set off of them that the wood later on started turning yellow and then one of my drawers started missing up called nothing !! will to this day nothing no calls back !!! told me they couldn’t give me other bed or anything but yet i pay for it !!! i don’t recommend them to no one go somewhere else with you hard work money!!!! i have added a picture of the end of my bed ..
