First time ever trying Rent A Center and I am very disappointed. I ordered a couch set online paid set up delivery . No one showed no call I called to see what was going on . And tried to give them a second chance for Delivering another day . Waited another 3 days nothing still no delivery no call . So I had to call them once again . And i asked for them to cancel my order and just send me my money back . Than the next day on the app it stated that I owed them more money . Called back to see what that was about and got it situated. But I have still not received my refund back at all . This is beyond ridiculous I will never do business here again .
Had picked out a couch and love seat, paid for it and scheduled delivery. Delivery never showed up. Rude employees then explained how I never sent in some things that no one told me I needed to do. Requested refund of money already spent, they said the charge was reversed. They lied, money never refunded. Stay away from this store.
The store manager’s rudeness when I requested to view the form is unacceptable. Please include a provision in my agreement stipulating that all payments must be made automatically. Legally, this should have been included in the agreement prior to my payment. At this juncture, I am seeking legal counsel as she also disclosed that Rent-A-Center permitted an individual to remove items from the store in my name for a residence I did not reside in until 2023. She asserted that the account was active in 2021. I was unaware of this address until 2023. I presumed that this action was taken solely in response to my request for documentation to be included in the agreement. While I did not object to her request, it is legally imperative that she attach the documentation to the agreement. Now my information is in the system, but up under a different name when they clearly have my driver license on file. I’m also going to file for identity theft against the people who I gave my information to at the store.
The way this company does "business" is absolutely ABSURD!!!! I was just 7 days late on a payment and they had a schedule to come pick up my furniture for 7 DAYS!!!!! I spoke to Maria all she was doing was repeating herself and not listening to me. Talking over me! Poor customer service, she gave up so then she let me speak with Ann. I was able to actually conversate with her and near the end of the phone call she admitted that threatening people with reposessions and getting Dallas county involved over 7 DAYS is ridiculous. Im just in shock! I told her I have been late before with with company's because she mentioned Aarons is the same way and ITS NOT. I told them I was going to pay within the same month on the 21ST and she said they couldn't allow that!!!!!! HOW CAN YOU NOT ACCEPT A CUSTOMERS PAYMENT WITHIN THE SAME MONTH OF THE DUE DATE! She kept responding well thats how we run our business. I made it very clear that I will pay this off as fast as I can and be done with them! I will never use their service again! So if you think you can make payments with unexpected life bills happening then ok use them but if you feel like you might be late EVER they are not the "business" you want to use. At this point I wont even be surprised if they say "well you left us a bad review we are coming to get the furniture I AM PAYING FOR!" I completely understand rules and regulations but this is just unreasonable and they know it!!!
Very disappointed. I’ve been a customer of RAC for years. Usually I get what’s expected. Recently, we ordered my son a t.v. The delivery was scheduled for 3 days after the order we were told it would be new in the box. I wasn’t home at the time of the of delivery. When we got home, to our surprise the tv was not new or in a box. When we plugged it up, it was damaged. My son can’t even watch it. Of course the store was closed when we discovered this. Even though I called the store there was no voicemail box so I couldn’t leave a message. A review was the next best thing. I’m so upset and disappointed.
