Rent-A-Center

I was speaking to Augustine and Trent the asst managers and they were amazing. I am trying to get a sofa set (I no longer want to do business with Aarons whom I was with for the last 20 years because the RAC in my hometown was trash!) So I decided to try this RAC in conroe and as mentioned prior Augustine was amazing and was trying to assist me since I just had a severe surgery. I contacted today 2/10/26 to get an update and he was off so I spoke to Trent he was very nice and stated he would call me back (but never did) so I tried to reach out again and Mary or whatever her name is started with a M the GENERAL MANAGER decided to get the phone and be RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL speaking to me in such a belittling manner FOR NO REASON. I then explained i had been speaking to Augustine for the last 2 weeks (which I had been) and she tells me that "I AM LYING AND I BARELY SUBMITTED MY DOCUMENTS SAT AT 5PM." I then proceeded to try to explain to her that I submitted the forms Sat but had been dealing with Augustine prior to Sat and she said "That is not true" and proceeded to talk down to me and disrespect me and talk over me in a rude manner then said "You know what I am going to simply just withdrawl your application because I have the power to do so" and she laughed and hung up the phone on me. Its crazy how I just wanted to deal with the SAME person/people I was dealing with and she proceeded to get the phone and be rude and disrespectful for NO REASON AT ALL. THIS IS INSANE I GUESS ALL RACS ARE REALLY THE SAME. ALL BECAUSE I WANTED TO STAY WORKING WITH THE SAME PERSON I WAS WORKING WITH.

This manager & store are amazing! They helped my husband and I when they definitely didn’t have to when we ran into problems at another location! Highly recommend!!

I would not recommend rent a center. The manager is very unprofessional, they won’t work out payment arrangements, they don’t have great customer service at all. Do not go here turn around.

My experience has been horrible the manager Marilyn encourages her employees to jiggle the door handle and crack it open to see if someone is home. She called me a liar about contacting corporate which I have so just proves how unprofessional she is. THe driver Trevor is the one who walked in my house and denied it then admitted saying he only juggled the door handle. They are apart of the Conroe store and are very unprofessional over there.

Five year customers of Rent-A-Center thousands of dollars spent paying off furniture for our home over the years. One year as a customer at this location and my husband and I will no longer be customers. The manager has blatantly disregarded our requests for lowering the price of four tires. They paid $850 for four set of tires trying to sell to us for $1600 at 6 months same as cash. Outrageous!!! Regardless of miscommunications going back-and-forth with this manager, she did not treat us respectfully one time!! They have no patience for people. The Manager’s intentions were merely to degrade us or make it seem like we’re trying to get something for nothing. I told her we would pay $1000 cash for a four set of tires for you guys to make a profit and she denied it still trying to sell us the tires for $1300. She lied to us is lied to us twice claiming that she can’t return the tires after we’ve been on them for a week because we can’t afford that. I do not trust that Manager and I don’t think that she deserves to be dealing with customers considering she has no regard for respect . I will no longer do business with Rent-A-Center !!! And not to mention, she denied me the right to speak to her manager by requesting him to give me a call and she’s told me no multiple times that it’s not possible to speak to her district manager. Another lie.
