What to Expect at This Store
Visiting a rent-to-own store is straightforward. Here is a general overview of what to bring and how the process typically works. Requirements may vary — contact Rent-A-Center directly to confirm.
What to Bring
- Valid photo ID — driver's license, state ID, or passport
- Proof of income — recent pay stub, bank statement, or benefits letter
- Proof of residence — utility bill, lease agreement, or mail with your address
- Personal references — typically 3-4 contacts with phone numbers
How It Works
- 1 Browse in store — choose from available furniture, appliances, electronics, and more
- 2 Apply — no traditional credit check at most stores; approval is based on income and residency
- 3 Get approved — many stores offer same-day approval and immediate access to your items
- 4 Delivery or pickup — most stores include free delivery, setup, and ongoing service/maintenance
Typically included with rent-to-own agreements:
Free delivery and setup, service and maintenance for the life of the agreement, the option to return items at any time without penalty, and an early purchase option (EPO) to buy the item outright before the lease ends. Rent-to-own is not a loan or credit purchase. Specific terms vary by store.

Completely unacceptable. A broken washer was delivered, and I was promised follow-up calls that never came. In the meantime, I’ve been unable to wash clothes while waiting on callbacks that should not be necessary. Being told the store was “doing me a favor” instead of fixing the issue shows a complete lack of accountability. Customers should not have to chase a resolution when the company is already aware the equipment does not work.
My mom was falsely accused of stealing a bed set that this business claims was picked up 5 years ago by a former employee. That is clearly their mistake, yet instead of owning it, they blamed a customer. I was on the phone with my mom the entire time. She was calm, not aggressive, and barely spoke to the manager. The only thing she asked was the employee’s name, which was refused. That alone says a lot. The moment the manager overheard me say we were leaving a review, she called the police and lied, claiming my mom was being aggressive. That was completely false and an insane escalation of the situation. Calling the cops on someone because you don’t want to take responsibility for your own poor record-keeping is disgusting and unprofessional. This was embarrassing, stressful, and totally unnecessary. Be very careful dealing with this place — they will accuse customers instead of fixing their own problems. Update- I have contacted corporate and they state that wtvr lies the manager told us are FALSE! There was not red flag in her account and it’s in good standing and there will be an internal investigation going on because this is pure racism. So France’s if your reading this, we did find out your name:). And yes I requested the investigation be handled by someone other than your district manager since you’re obviously in cahoots with them. Have the day you deserve :)
I took my mom so she could get a mattress turns out they have my mom red flagged for something she had already returned. My mom called my sister and my sister said she will address it with a review. Manager instantly called the police and told them we were being aggressive when no one was even directing towards her or anything. She was so rude for no reason saying she doesn’t want to be videotaped when my mom was just on a video call with my sister trying to figure out what was going on. She thought I didn’t speak English until I confronted her telling her no one was being aggressive towards her there was no need to call the police. She just kept screaming get out my store. I’m not sure how she was put as a manager because she has zero customers service zero curtesy and lying saying we were being aggressive. There is cámaras in there and I hope this gets looked into because by the way she acted she has done this before. Police should never have to be called unless its an emergency, which it wasn’t.
(Long post but a must read) Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life! (SERIOUSLY avoid this place by all cost! WISH I WOULD HAVE READ REVIEWS FIRST THE MANGER IS CLEARLY THE ISSUE ! They gave the run around about delivering….when I finally received my merchandise the guys didn’t have tools borrowed mines and then stole them. Also the chairs to the table they brought was damaged. I called and spoke with the manager FRANCES who is really rude and disrespectful ( she didn’t care at all) I begged to speak somebody over here (BRISTOL) called me back hours later after I called continuously. He assured me the matter would be resolved offered me a credit ( I agreed because my tools replacement would cost the same. I never received the credit he only stoped the payment from being due. They sent someone to repair one chair and the guy informed me all the legs were ruined, damaged and not properly put together. It was reported to FRANCES and again she was rude and careless Her reply was ok what do you wanna do. ( like yall sent me broke chairs how bout WHAT CAN I DO YO MAKE THIS RIGHT) She promised me she would reorder chairs A month later a still have broken chairs they still taking money off my card and when I call to ask about a update Frances get mad and tells me well u only paying for the couches so what’s the big deal? FRANCES treats customers bad and needs to be fired immediately! Update I called corporate and then called the store to get an update on the chairs FRANCES told me “YOU ALREADY CALLED CORPORATE SO WHY ARE U CALLING THE STORE” I asked to speak to her manager and she stated “ He right here listening to you he will call you tmrw” I can’t believe the level of customer service I have been receiving from this place.
I am just now reading the reviews of this location and all the complaints are surrounding the manager. I called yesterday to make a payment. And she was rude from the word go. I was attempting to explain something to her and she cut me off and started talking over me. When asked to speak to someone else so I didn't lose my temper she refused. And I refused, she then threatened me. I am amazed she is the store manager. I was a credit manager for Rent a Center years ago and I never heard my manager speak to our worst customer the way she patronized and dismissed me. Very unprofessional. She did apologize but listening to me and showing a little empathy would've taken 2 seconds.
