What to Expect at This Store
Visiting a rent-to-own store is straightforward. Here is a general overview of what to bring and how the process typically works. Requirements may vary — contact Rent-A-Center directly to confirm.
What to Bring
- Valid photo ID — driver's license, state ID, or passport
- Proof of income — recent pay stub, bank statement, or benefits letter
- Proof of residence — utility bill, lease agreement, or mail with your address
- Personal references — typically 3-4 contacts with phone numbers
How It Works
- 1 Browse in store — choose from available furniture, appliances, electronics, and more
- 2 Apply — no traditional credit check at most stores; approval is based on income and residency
- 3 Get approved — many stores offer same-day approval and immediate access to your items
- 4 Delivery or pickup — most stores include free delivery, setup, and ongoing service/maintenance
Typically included with rent-to-own agreements:
Free delivery and setup, service and maintenance for the life of the agreement, the option to return items at any time without penalty, and an early purchase option (EPO) to buy the item outright before the lease ends. Rent-to-own is not a loan or credit purchase. Specific terms vary by store.

RAC honestly doesn't even deserve this one star !! I lost my job in September, shortly after I signed an agreement with my new living room set . When I tried to explain the situation to them (I also explained that I was having issues with trying to cash my last check in order to make a payment), all they had to say was 'Well we need the payment fast or we will need to schedule a pick up!" The first payment I was able to complete, but I fell behind on two other payments. They clearly are showing that they do not care about what issues customers might be facing ! They didn't even bother to offer options to work with me until i got back on my feet ! I get that there are some customers that run off with furniture, but I simply was unable to due to lack of income ! I just landed a new position today, and was willing to catch up on my payments, but with this constant harassing over TWO measly payments (showing up at my home knocking on the door while I am in the bathtub preparing for more important engagements, sending me letters in the mail, leaving tags on my door), I'd rather not waste anymore time or money with them ! Will spend my money on better and more affordable furniture ! Will be waiting this weekend for them to come get their belongings ! All they are going to do anyway is screw over the next customer in need UPDATE: 10/25, I was told a few days before that the guys were going to arrive between 10 and 12pm. The workers arrived at my house at 8:55, an hour and some change before they were expected to arrive smh, and the business does not open until 10 am . And after reading reviews from other customers about delayed delivery, it's sad how they can take their time delivering furniture, but they sure are right on time or early to pick it up
The washer and dryer pickup was scheduled for September 30th between 3–5 PM. No one showed during the scheduled window. Instead, the driver pulled up at 6:19 PM, sat outside until 6:25 PM, called my phone once (while it was charging upstairs), and drove off. I chased the truck down to the stop sign, waving and yelling, and even another car honked to flag them down, but they ignored me. Later the driver tried to claim the suite number was missing yet they originally delivered to this exact same address with no problem. That same evening (Sept 30) at 7 PM I posted my first review, and instead of a manager contacting me, I only got an automated text confirming another pickup attempt for Friday, Oct 3. No phone call, no explanation. On Oct 1 and 2 I left additional reviews about the incident, but still no one from management or even the district manager reached out despite my complaint to the 1-800 corporate line, which they claimed would be escalated. On Oct 3, I called the store again. The first employee I spoke with was rude and hung up on me. I immediately called back and spoke with a manager, who was equally rude and tried to tell me I would still be liable for the merchandise if it was stolen while outside, despite the fact that their team had already failed two pickup attempts and were outside of their scheduled timeframe. That is unacceptable. Finally, on Oct 3, the truck returned at 6:11 PM (again outside the 3–5 PM window) and picked up the set from outside. I have the entire process recorded on video to protect myself, including proof of pickup, in case they try to claim otherwise. This experience has been negligent, unprofessional, and exhausting: multiple failed pickups, zero accountability, rude employees, a manager telling me I’d still be liable after their failures, and no response from upper management. If they attempt to hold me liable after documented neglect and video evidence, I am prepared to pursue legal action. Do not trust this location, they will inconvenience you, ignore your concerns, and then try to flip the blame back on you.
NO COMMUNICATION, NO PAYMENT: Merchandise Will Be Left Outside of not picked up. Following the disgraceful attempted pickup on 09-30-2025 (where the driver was 1 hour and 20 minutes late, lied about my address, and refused to turn around despite being on camera and visually flagged down), I formally reported the incident. It is now a day later, and I have received zero communication from Rent-A-Center management, the store, or corporate to resolve this issue or reschedule the pickup. Let me be absolutely clear: The pickup was scheduled for the 30th, which is when my payment obligation ended. I will not be paying for merchandise that Rent-A-Center has failed to retrieve. I will not store your property indefinitely. FINAL WARNING: I will not be playing your game of delay and inconvenience. If Rent-A-Center does not contact me today with a confirmed, guaranteed pickup time, the items will be placed outside my residence. Since you failed to pick up the merchandise on the agreed-upon date, it is no longer my responsibility to safeguard it. I have extensive documentation and camera footage of your failures. I expect immediate action to retrieve your property.
Absolute Failure of Service: Late, Dishonest Driver Caught on Camera My scheduled pickup window was 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on 09-30-2025. The driver arrived at 6:19 PM, nearly an hour and twenty minutes late. Since the timeframe was missed, my phone was upstairs on the charger while I was cleaning downstairs. The entire incident the driver pulling up at 6:19 PM, sitting outside, and driving off at 6:25 PM without knocking is on camera. As soon as I heard the truck and saw him pulling away, I immediately ran outside and chased the truck down to the stop sign. The driver was driving so slowly he couldn't have missed me. He passed over a road hump, giving me time to almost reach his side while yelling. At the stop sign, he did not even make a complete stop. As he hurried through, another car honked and waved their hand out the window at him to alert him to me. He ignored us and drove off. The driver then attempted to engage in a dishonest text conversation: • I contacted him at 6:28 PM "just 3 minutes after he drove off after I ran after him and made it back to my phone." • He responded at 6:30 PM, immediately attempting to blame me for not putting the apartment number on the paperwork. • I immediately provided the correct apartment number at 6:32 PM. This means he had the complete information just 7 minutes after driving away. Despite his excessive tardiness and being visually flagged down by two people, he chose not to turn around and complete the pickup. His excuse about the paperwork is a lie. This is a townhome complex where the unit number is the only difference in the address. The camera proves he pulled directly in front of my door and didn’t knock. He clearly had the information, as they also successfully delivered the set here previously without issue. If a payment was outstanding, I’m sure they would find the door without issue, but since I want The merchandise picked up and I’m going elsewhere, you can’t find the door. Bs This service failure forced me to push back a separate major appliance delivery I had taken time off work for. I demand this time be fully credited and the pickup be re-scheduled immediately for a time that is convenient for me.
I’ve never been more disrespected by “professionals” if you can even call them that. Managers specifically here. Ask them a simple question they are more than capable of answering and they WILL NOT answer. They push you off onto an online form or the app, even if the information you need isn’t there. Like it’s so hard to answer a question while you sit in a store on a phone/computer/tablet all day? How lazy and careless that something so simple is refused to be done.. They assume one missed or late payment means you will never pay them back and they are knocking at your door REFUSING to leave, and threatening hostility.. Unacceptable and unprofessional all around there, Headquarters apparently tolerates this. They do what they can to help but are rude about it when they DONT need to be…
I was told by your employee Jeremy that I would get my furniture on a specific day when I called on that day and asked about my furniture in between that time they told me that it was rescheduled for Saturday that they did not tell me that, and proceeded to talk unprofessional very rude The gentleman specifically told me that he has been doing his job for 16 years and he will remember telling me something like that. I specifically told him that I went over this with him and asked him specifically about a certain time because I had to work if I could get off at a certain time I would and I did takeoff of work they were inconsiderate of that stated that I could be refunded my money because I was irritated about the situation and the runaround that they were giving me a called the week before the gentleman told me he would call me back about my furniture never did. I had to return the call the next day just to get information about my furniture and he stated this is thousands of dollars worth of furniture. We have to make sure that it’s going out correctly. He was very rude and unprofessional.
