What to Expect at This Store

Visiting a rent-to-own store is straightforward. Here is a general overview of what to bring and how the process typically works. Requirements may vary — contact Aaron's directly to confirm.

What to Bring

  • Valid photo ID — driver's license, state ID, or passport
  • Proof of income — recent pay stub, bank statement, or benefits letter
  • Proof of residence — utility bill, lease agreement, or mail with your address
  • Personal references — typically 3-4 contacts with phone numbers

How It Works

  1. 1 Browse in store — choose from available furniture, appliances, electronics, and more
  2. 2 Apply — no traditional credit check at most stores; approval is based on income and residency
  3. 3 Get approved — many stores offer same-day approval and immediate access to your items
  4. 4 Delivery or pickup — most stores include free delivery, setup, and ongoing service/maintenance

Typically included with rent-to-own agreements:

Free delivery and setup, service and maintenance for the life of the agreement, the option to return items at any time without penalty, and an early purchase option (EPO) to buy the item outright before the lease ends. Rent-to-own is not a loan or credit purchase. Specific terms vary by store.

******5/23/2025 EDITED****** So after finding out that the insurance claim was denied to pay off the refrigerator, my wife called the Washington Court House store again to see what the deal was, because last week she was told by someone that's name was Jeremy that my father in law DID still have insurance and paid it until the day he died..... After calling over and over again, and answer we got was from someone named Steven claiming he paid out of his own pocket to pay off this fictitious lawn mower, which my father-in-law never had, and also that the insurance did not continue to be paid on. We're furious and my poor wife calls again, Candice put on the phone with a very pleasant female who was kind and very matter of fact. She went on to say that she would get a hold of Jeremy.. shortly thereafter Jeremy called! You know what he said? He said "oh no you didn't speak to me, you probably spoke to someone that was using my phone number. Because I'm not the one that said that. Yeah it was definitely someone and may have identified as Jeremy, but yeah at the end of the day either it needs to be paid or returned"..... So you're saying that someone called my wife pretending to be jeremy, and stated that my father-in-law still had insurance on the refrigerator when he died, had us get his death certificate, and other proofs to assist in the claim.. really dude? My wife can speak for herself, and so can my mother-in-law but I will never do business with this place. Never. If you made a statement as a company representative about the validity of a protection plan, that is now your word, not a promise of ours. You had us run around and do all of this stuff to prove my father-in-law is dead, why you still call their phones asking for him. This is the most unprofessional place I have ever seen. I'd like to know who thinks it to be legal to charge someone's debit card over 30 times less than a handful of days without autopayment consent? Let's break this down real quick; father in law (wife's father) passed away very abruptly in January 2025 . He has an item from Aaron's in his house. We decided to make a payment on it so that his wife.... My mother-in-law, is able to refrigerate her food. We made a payment on it, and then another payment on it, but then you decided to assume auto payment without anyone's consent. If any of you are curious, there are screenshots and emails stating that there is no Auto payment. I don't need you to explain to me why you think it's appropriate to charge someone ELSE'S card THIRTY TIMES after being told the original account holder died. I don't need you to tell me that because you have no good reason, no legal reason to do so. Hell, this is just me warning everyone else that does any business with you. **Beware everyone** Aaron in Washington Court House will charge a dead man's daughter and her husband 30 times after making two payments.

Worst customer experience ever! They refuse to answer the phone at any given time and I waited more than a week for a manager to call about fixing a defective product which I have the insurance on. They never called. I had to go back to the store because they won't answer there phone and they said the manager must not have gotten the note?! Seriously?!
