Rent-A-Center

This location is awful! The lady added on extra “mandatory” fees after I already did the agreement and paid. On the day of my scheduled delivery I waited for 3 hours and had to call the store to ask where they were at only to find out that they weren’t coming due to an “unexpected call off.” They didn’t even apologize and claimed they called but no one answered. The “phone call” I got hung up when I answered it and no message was left. Then tried to reschedule the delivery for the next day as if I don’t have a job I’ll be at from 12 to 2! I will never go to them for anything ever again.

So I was approved for items up to a couple thousand $$….. when I go onto the app it says shop approved items and when I picked a TV they told me I can’t rent it because it’s my first time renting, that they are trying to offer me used sofas for over $1500… I’m not sure if I want to even rent here now, because how am I approved for $2000 and some of the items I’m approved for are the tvs and sofa and electronics, but I’m not able to rent any of the electronics (TVs electric mixers, etc) because it’s my first time renting? But I’m approved for used sofas and furniture that cost over my limit of $2000- But not able to rent the electric items that I am approved for. So if I am not able to rent the electronics then why am I approved for them ????? It says “SHOP APPROVED ITEMS” which are TVs, hand mixers, washer and dryers, sofas, tables, etc so they are picking and choosing what items they want to rent a certain kinds of people

I went to rent a dryer and washer was supposed to deliver it never came so I went to get my money back and they slid me out there pocket and when I went to another eent a center years later they had me under skipped payment when j never received anything so they pocket they value if they set. Scandalous stay away from them. Ripoffs

Moses the manager is rude and unprofessional with his paying customers. His attitude and tone towards me over the phone is unacceptable. He tries to be intimidating over the phone and when leaving voicemails for late payments. I understand it’s doing your job. But It’s another thing to do it with disrespect. I don't appreciate the way he speaks to me and apparently he “speaks to everybody” that way and he can’t even apologize, instead, gets argumentative. I would give zero stars if i could. I will never rent from here again! And will not be taking calls from anyone except Earl. Who actually has some respect, and speaks with kindness when he calls me and leaves me voicemails. I cannot wait for my last payment so I can NEVER deal with this place again!

If giving negative stars was possible I definitely would, but I’ll give one star because “Shay” was always kind and understanding when answering the phone. Other than that, the other people are TERRIBLE. They took my payment for a sectional that literally says that it comes in 3 pieces in the title, had someone WAITING for them at my apartment because like normal people, I work during the week, they never show up, so I call the store and they proceed to tell me that it wouldn’t fit. The main door to my apartment building is locked and they never even knocked or tried to get in. Then they tried to tell me the sectional that I picked doesn’t come apart, after it clearly says that it comes in 3 pieces. So then I pick out a different couch and they told me it would be there the next day between 10 and 12. Ok, perfect. I have someone waiting at my apartment for it to be delivered and they don’t show AGAIN. I had contacted corporate the day before, they called me and said they were going to call the store and have them escalate it and never heard back from anyone. I told them I wanted a refund, so we’ll see if I actually get my money back. Extremely disappointed.
