What to Expect at This Store
Visiting a rent-to-own store is straightforward. Here is a general overview of what to bring and how the process typically works. Requirements may vary — contact Aaron's directly to confirm.
What to Bring
- Valid photo ID — driver's license, state ID, or passport
- Proof of income — recent pay stub, bank statement, or benefits letter
- Proof of residence — utility bill, lease agreement, or mail with your address
- Personal references — typically 3-4 contacts with phone numbers
How It Works
- 1 Browse in store — choose from available furniture, appliances, electronics, and more
- 2 Apply — no traditional credit check at most stores; approval is based on income and residency
- 3 Get approved — many stores offer same-day approval and immediate access to your items
- 4 Delivery or pickup — most stores include free delivery, setup, and ongoing service/maintenance
Typically included with rent-to-own agreements:
Free delivery and setup, service and maintenance for the life of the agreement, the option to return items at any time without penalty, and an early purchase option (EPO) to buy the item outright before the lease ends. Rent-to-own is not a loan or credit purchase. Specific terms vary by store.

Some of the products are great!! We have a couple beds and lawn mower and couch the beds and lawn mower is great but there haven’t been any good couches. Now customer service is lacking a bit! We told the employees we may not be able to be at home for the pick up of a piece of furniture, due to needing to get our car into the shop they said ok we can play it by ear and still sent the truck out. Then when I tell the manager the next that we told the employees we were not sure if we could be there in time, she complains about how they spend a lot in gas, well the truck was already in that area so it’s already used gas! And plus it’s the customers who are paying for Aaron’s to be a business, the customers pay the gas the customers are the reason why the employees get paid and they have a place to work. If Aaron’s didn’t have the customers there would be no Aaron’s so for the manager to complain about gas is wrong!!! I would have given a higher review if it wasn’t for the complaints that the manager had!!
Not a lot in show room. More online, but that's where you can get the lease starting with just $1. Very pleasant staff there too. Helpful in showing what they have but also letting you know that the $1 deal is only online. I didn't feel like they didn't want to help me by directing me online, I felt like they were helping me out a lot by directing me online to the $1 deal. I'm very happy with my experience at Aaron's. I don't have the money to outright by appliances so this gives me some grace period time to pay same as cash for $120 days or if I go past that then I pay the cash price of the appliance and some of the lease the rental that I have on it. I wouldn't just rent the whole thing for the 24 months because then you're paying twice the amount. Try to pay off your lease early. That's just my advice.
Went in looking for a small sofa and found it. Great customer service and easy process buying it.
I purchased a full bedroom set and living room set. I originally came in just looking for a couch and I asked about how much a new set would cost with everything together and i then asked what they could do for me if I purchased the whole bedroom set as well. They gave me the prices they were willing to go with and it was cheaper than any place around. On top of that, I had a short window for a delivery and they made the delivery happen within 24 hours of purchase. Great customer service! Every employee I interacted with was extremely nice. Thank you
This place is terrible, I would not recommend it to anyone. Right after my husband leased some things from here the girl (dare not call her a lady) who worked the counter would call the day, sometimes two, before our payment was due and would harass my husband, asking him where he was, what he was doing, why he hadn't paid his bill yet and when he was going to pay it. If she couldn't get a hold of him she'd call me. One time in particular after a failed attempt at getting a hold of my husband she called me and started cussing me out; this was even after about two dozen plus times of asking her and the general manager to remove my number from the account and their lies of doing so. Flash forward 6 months our DVD player broke. They have had it for over a month and have absolutely no information on when it could possibly be fixed and returned to us apparently because they don't have a "qualified service provider". Mind you, we are still paying for something that is broken and not in our possession even though they state their policy states otherwise - brought that up and she said there was "absolutely nothing they could do". This new girl even had the nerve to call me up and yell at me stating "we" had an appointment, would've been nice to know I had even made an appointment with her. Our tv is starting to go out as well. I told my husband NOT to go with this scam of a business, but obviously he thought he knew better. Now we have a dryer that is broken, didn't even get to use it once. They didn't even give him a manual, it's one of the fancy "smart" dryers with an overload of buttons/features. So I could only imagine the headache that'll come with attempting to return that POS. The staff is extremely unprofessional, to say the least, and their products are way overpriced and do not last. In my opinion, this place is a scam that loves to prey on naive people (people like my husband). Plain and simple, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT go with this company. Put something on layaway if you can't afford something up front, buy second hand or save up and purchase later.
