Rent-A-Center

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Rent-A-Center. I had just made my initial payment to start my contract, so I was very confused when I received a call saying another payment was already due. No one clearly explained that to me upfront, which made the situation even more frustrating. What made it worse was the way it was handled. I was called about an hour before closing and told I needed to come in immediately to make the payment. The employee’s tone was rude and unprofessional. There was no understanding or empathy at all. I explained that I have two children and my day was already hectic, but I was basically told it had to be paid right then and there. I had to drop everything and rush to the store with less than an hour’s notice. I even asked if I could make the payment one day late due to the short notice, and that was not accommodated. As a paying customer who had just started a contract, I expected clearer communication and at least a little courtesy. Customer service and professionalism go a long way. Unfortunately, this experience did not reflect that.

I had it with Rent-A-Center for many years now and I have never had a complaint The people are always so nice and helpful and the managers are amazing as far as helping you not lose your stuff that you're trying to pay for they help you in every way! I really love Rent-A-Center because without them my son would not have had Christmas a couple of different times because my money just wasn't there! Thank God for Rent-A-Center

I rented a washer and a dryer from them a brand new one. We'll I asked them to get the lid part fixed that would tell the washer to start instead of having 2 hold the lid down to get it to start. Well they took it said they fixed it well had to take it back cause it wasn't fixed. Well 2 to 3 months later without having the respect to call me to let Me know they tell me the engine blew in it when they tested the lid part. Whatever.... I pay for a brand new set to get stuck with a used one they claim 2 b brand new which I know different cause a brand new set would not have scrapes and chip marks. I advise u not to rent from then Go to Buddies Furniture instead they take care of their customers right! If I could rate a 0 I would

I came home today to a big red tag on my door talking about I am in possession of stolen property and I need to return tonight or charges will be filed. How though? I don’t use nor will I ever use rent a center. This type of practice is unprofessional. This is the THIRD time someone from rent a center has shown up at my door before they realize they are at the wrong address. The numbers for the townhomes are right by the front door, it’s not even that hard. Train your people better.
