How It Works

Formal Complaint Regarding Store Manager (Eden, NC) Subject: Formal Complaint: Unprofessional Conduct by Manager Lori – Eden, NC Store Dear Corey Miller, OR District Manager / Customer Relations Team], I am writing to file a formal and serious complaint regarding the highly unprofessional and discourteous treatment I received from Lori, a manager at the Aaron's Eden, NC location. My experience took place on 11/21/25 during a phone call regarding a necessary payment extension. 🛑 Incident Summary Request for Extension: I contacted the store following a recent surgery to request a temporary extension on my payment. Unprofessional Conduct: Manager Lori handled the request with visible disdain. After stating the extension would be approved, she abruptly and unprofessionally hung up on me while I was still speaking, showing zero regard for my medical situation or my status as a customer. Her tone from beginning to end was unacceptable. If she doesn't like her job she shouldn't take it out on customers. I can't help to think how much business she has costed this company in negative ways. Subsequent Call: I immediately called back to address her highly unprofessional behavior. Lori acknowledged the approval but showed no remorse or sincerity regarding the manner in which she handled the call. 🎯 Core Concern The issue is not the payment approval, but the complete lack of basic professionalism, courtesy, and respect shown by a manager. I informed Lori that I would escalate this behavior to upper management. She only offered an insincere apology after I stated I would take my business elsewhere. I was a Rent A Center customer for over 8 years and have over 12,000 in records for appliances and furniture and electronics. I chose to try Aaron's this year for lower prices. But this customer service will have me happily move my business back to Rent A Center even if I do pay a little extra. 🌟 Positive Contrast I would like to highlight the exemplary customer service provided by another employee, Jess/Jessica, who is always friendly, professional, and demonstrates excellent communication skills. Lori could greatly benefit from observing and adopting her approach to customer interaction. And Jess would be a better fit for Lori's position. ➡️ Resolution Expected This level of rude and hateful behavior is unacceptable for someone in a leadership position and reflects poorly on your company. I expect this matter to be investigated immediately, as I will not continue to be a customer if I am required to deal with Lori again. Thank you for your prompt attention to this urgent matter. Sincerely, Trisha Davis I have also emailed Cory Miller and the district manager with this matter and the suggested email in reviews about my experience 👍
Horrible Y'all are absolutely nothing but a troubled Company y'all need to think about y'all's customers who pays y'all almost 1,000 of dollars each month and yet y'all going to keep coming up to my door and tell me y'all going to come and get my stuff because We haven't paid it yet and one of y'all's employees Name lora needs to be fired she doesn't give anybody time to pay their bills yet we've got $650 for rent probably over $100 for the light bill and over $200 for the Cable TV and Internet bill but y'all won't work with anyone until they can pay it y'all won't even let us pay our bill in partial payments y'all are so greedy hopefully y'all go out of Business FOREVER
Said I could pay off by October 14 and get same as cash financing. Went to pay off balance today and their system wouldn't take the payment. So now they've made it so I'm stuck in that high interest lease. So don't trust them about same as cash financing because they will make it so you are stuck in the lease so they can get all that interest. The washer and dryer I got from them are great.
I pay my payment every month but I still get calls saying I’m behind or I need to make a payment. Got a call from Adrianna Tuesday saying I only had made a partial payment April 1st and I needed to make another payment. I called today, which is Thursday and talked to a different lady(the service manager) who told me I wasn’t behind, I had made every payment on time and I was ok until my next payment. Keep track of your payments and keep your lease agreement like I did and have. The lady I spoke with today was very kind and understanding. I’ll be glad to get this paid off and behind me so this confusion will be over and done with! The last name on my lease is Morgan if anyone in the stores should want to look it up for themselves.
We have been purchasing from Aaron's for 15 years. This time we got a sectional that is from Ashley furniture. The decorative seams are coming out and one seam has busted. Paying 3000 for a couch that doesn't even last until it's paid for is ridiculous. Thought we finally had this issue taken care of. Account to be closed and cushions to be ordered. But now they have taken another payment. Supposedly it was voided but it's been 48 hours and I still do not have my money back. I am pretty sure we won't be dealing with Aaron's anymore after this.
