How It Works

Typically included with rent-to-own agreements:
Free delivery and setup, service and maintenance for the life of the agreement, the option to return items at any time without penalty, and an early purchase option (EPO) to buy the item outright before the lease ends. Rent-to-own is not a loan or credit purchase. Specific terms vary by store.

Update: they have been non stop harassing me for over a year now. No matter how many times ive spoken with them about it and despite speaking with the regional manager last year, they still call me constantly. Original: DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, DO BUSINESS WITH THIS STOR OR RENT A CENTER AS A WHOLE. I've been doing business with them for around 10 years now and over the past year it's gone steeply down hill. They've sold me damaged products for more than what it was worth brand new, charged my card for 3 times what they were supposed to then said it was somehow my fault, and they recently tried to scam me out of 900 dollars that I had already paid for a product after they had told me it was fully paid off. They told me it was paid off and I was good to go, then all of the sudden they call me saying I needed to pay several hundred dollars up front or they would show up with the sheriff and take it by force. Then, they told me I owed just under 300 dollars for it. Then, 2 payments later, they told me I now owed 1000 on a product that I was contracted to pay 1200 on originally. Then, all of the sudden, it's back down to the original price. Their offer to remedy the situation? Sell me more low quality products at "half" off which really means it's half off the payments but the total price is still several hundred dollars more than what the product was originally. I started using them because I could get what I needed the same day and not have to worry about my bad credit at the time, then kept using them even after my credit had improved because I liked the customer service and I had built a solid relationship with them. I understand going with them because you don't have any other option, but inspect everything with a fine tooth comb, and make sure what you are getting is brand new and untouched. They also sold me a bed for over $3000 that had fleas in it and sold me a TV with a 6 inch piece of plastic broken off the side and a remote that doesn't work but refused to trade it out with another and wouldn't replace the remote until I had already replaced the remote. Almost 10 years and almost 10k completely wasted. If you really can't get what you need up front, go with Aaron's instead. Hopefully they are better. UPDATE: after telling them not to call me between 5 am and 5 pm m-f they still relentlessly called me every week multiple times during those hours. Yesterday, I told them never to contact me again for any reason. Guess what? They called me twice back to back today around 1:15 pm and got me written up for the second time this week. Not the district manager or anyone from customer support, but a sales person at this store that I had told never to call me again yesterday. What were they calling me back to back for? TO TRY TO SELL ME MORE OF THEIR CRAPPY PRODUCTS.
I don't think I will purchase anything else from here. In the process of purchasing a washer and dryer. Something happened to my washer it stop working, I have a temporary replacement until mine get fixed. It has been over a month and nothing! But they taking the payments! I called all I get is blah blah blah but in the process trying to get me to purchase something else. Not gonna happened just give me my things and I am done!
They still haven’t changed the price on my items. I got brand new washer and dryer but they sent me a used one. The washer still had clothes in it. When I called about it the manager got a really nasty attitude with me
Hands down the worst customer experience I've ever had. It took an hour and a half to make a single purchase, and the employee was trying his best, but clearly undertrained, and alone in the store. Had to call the manager no less than three times to do a standard purchase. Was not able to answer a single one of my questions with clarity. I needed delivery and stated this explicitly many times. I was told it would be delivered in the morning. After that did not happen, I was told it'd be between 1-3. After that didn't happen, they told me I "Didn't have an account." After I had already paid and met with two different people. How don't I have an account? I brought up my frustrations and was assured that it will be delivered today, but I have ZERO confidence based on the evidence presented thus far. I will never go here again, and recommend avoiding at all costs.
so appallingly bad that words fail me... I rented a recliner due to surgery, drop off was good. They were supposed to pick it up on a Friday between 3-5pm, at 5pm I called and was told they were going to check on why they were late and would call back. I called every 15 minutes until closing and no one answered the phone. When I called Saturday, the very rude woman said it was not picked up as I was not on the schedule! Finally picked up on Monday, and a week later was billed for another month. Called the store and was told someone would call me back in "a few minutes". Not surprisingly, this has not happened. Called the main number and was told they had to fill out a report and someone would call me back in 24-48 hours. This is incredible and I have learned my lesson!
