What to Expect at This Store
Visiting a rent-to-own store is straightforward. Here is a general overview of what to bring and how the process typically works. Requirements may vary — contact Rent-A-Center directly to confirm.
What to Bring
- Valid photo ID — driver's license, state ID, or passport
- Proof of income — recent pay stub, bank statement, or benefits letter
- Proof of residence — utility bill, lease agreement, or mail with your address
- Personal references — typically 3-4 contacts with phone numbers
How It Works
- 1 Browse in store — choose from available furniture, appliances, electronics, and more
- 2 Apply — no traditional credit check at most stores; approval is based on income and residency
- 3 Get approved — many stores offer same-day approval and immediate access to your items
- 4 Delivery or pickup — most stores include free delivery, setup, and ongoing service/maintenance
Typically included with rent-to-own agreements:
Free delivery and setup, service and maintenance for the life of the agreement, the option to return items at any time without penalty, and an early purchase option (EPO) to buy the item outright before the lease ends. Rent-to-own is not a loan or credit purchase. Specific terms vary by store.

Excellent customer service and friendly service. I would definitely recommend them for your needs whether short term or long term.
Completely rude and unprofessional. Amber puts a huge cherry on top with her calling everyone Love and then when I kindly ask her to stop she gets offended and says “well this IS HOW I DOOO BUISNESS ……”. Well last time I checked the customer is the one who does the business and your the one who should be managing the transactions. Not the other way around. So sorry Amber ….. this is how I DOOOOO BUSINESS I will follow up with your corporate office and let them know just how you do business. And I will also address with them your concerns over others scamming you and then you not wanting to write a loan on your products due to others …..past behavior. I will also let them know it was I who disclosed to you guys the exact address of our new (sorry contingent property ) house and also the issue you have with us moving 11 miles “Ohhhhh no “ Love” …..the other thing we are going to run into is you won’t be our customer anymore and will be with the lees summit store …..” 😑 It’s just ridiculous. People move. People need to move. I think the previous review stated they wouldn’t write a loan on a product because others in his apartment complex have not paid them so there going to not do business with them. It seems you couldn’t throw money at these people without them dropping it or finding some poor reason why they can’t loan out a product to you. I thought things like the FCRA and other FDCP guidelines protected you against discrimination and threat of retaliation because of personal experience. I guess not ! Thanks RAC
Discrimination! was already on a leasing agreement and the day of delivery after sooo many weeks of waiting. 25 mins after promised delivery time. They call and say. They can’t deliver because of other people in my complex not paying the aggreement. So they would have to cancel the agreement and refund. (Don’t know what others have to do with me, nor understand why it took up til the day of delivery, but unprofessional!)
Tammy at the 350 rent a center was stating that I did not make a payment after she gave a extension when it’s not true she stated I payed only on 08/30/24 when I in fact paid on 09/12/24 which is also 3 days ahead of my payment actual due date. They continue to charge my card $107 and way ahead of my payment due date. I stated to the associate over the phone I even came in store to pay. I literally PAID IN STORE. I even sent them an email with my bank statement saying it was completed and it went through, and they stated “ since they have a new system everyone is having this problem” if that’s the case while do I have to dispute this payment with my bank? My bank will not dispute a payment if it was received. I WOULD NEVER TO RECOMMEND OR BE USING ANY RENT A CENTER IN THE FUTURE. They said I would have to pay $107 or they are going to come pick it up. Tammy hung up in my face after stating that. Anyway here’s all the proof.
The 10 calls and 5 voicemails on my phone and work phone is outrageous. I understand you want a payment but I explained I was bringing the item back. Couldn’t yesterday because you all closed before I could get off work. Customer service there is bland. Awkward silence. And just plain rude. Not happy. Will not rent from this location ever again.
