I am 10 days late, one payment past due, and I have never failed to pay Rent A Center. I never planned on signing up with them before until my grandma who has been a life long customer of rent a center. They are all very unprofessional from the start but when you’re desperate for a washer and dryer, you deal with it. They make you feel like you committed a crime if you miss one payment. The employee that showed up at my home refused to leave stating that I was 10 days late while pointing at the paper and stated he was not leaving until he collected a payment. I informed him as soon as he pulled in that I was paying on Thursday, my payday, and apologized for the inconvenience and that I sent an email to the store explaining why I was late. He kept looking at me very strange and almost mocking me when I tried to talk it out with him. My husband is out of town for work so I did not trust him to come in my house as he looked unprofessional as it is with his hair over his eyes and a baggy worn down t-shirt. I told him if he insisted to get the dang washer and dryer that he could send the store manager or anyone but him for being so weird about it. He refused to leave until “I give him money” in his exact words and that I didn’t know the law. (60$)! I’ve been with them since October and I will never again go with them, I ended up leaving my house because at this point this employee has me feeling very uncomfortable in my own driveway after I asked him to leave then demanded to leave until I spoke with zach and that I would speak to Zach who is suppose to be in charge, and he still wouldn’t! I then told him I was uncomfortable and to leave and he just set there telling me to shut up and that I didn’t know the law! What kind of employee for ANY BUSINESS does that???? And to top I apologized from the get go for getting upset with my tone and his just got worse and more weird! What kind of customer service is that?! I am sincerely sorry that I was going to pay it 12 days late and a whole $60 is worth sending someone to my house and making me feel uncomfortable like there was no other option to this payment other than to him right then!!!!! and he is NOT presentable enough to be showing up to homes with women alone!!!! I did not appreciate that and I called the store manager ZACH and told him he is welcome to send anyone to come get the set tomorrow except for that guy and he agreed without even caring what experience I had and I could have paid this ONE payment behind in two days!!!!! No curiosity, no care at all, just ugly customer service experience is what I got out of RENT A Center on RANGELINE Joplin MO!!!!! Horrible way to treat your customers just because they are struggling, Zach! It would be different if you guys would answer phone calls or emails or even smile at your customer when we do come in! I have literally been ignored before after just simply walking in and Alex one of your employees stated “Zach doesn’t talk to customers when he’s doing inventory you just have to deal with it “ what??????! Get another store manager Rent A Center! Better management creates better employees who CARE enough to work with you and not make you feel like you committed an absolute crime by not making their payment a priority once! Life is hard enough, we are suppose to be kind to one another ! Be better humans.
These guys got me a laptop in about 15 minutes... Talk about blazing like MO green without the buzz.... I put my self in a major pinch waiting to turn in papers until the last day..... I learned my lesson here... Great customer service... Friendly people!!! Give that man a raise!! 🙏🙏🙏
Been waiting on over two months for 4 legs to support my mattress so I can simply sleep on it. They swore they ordered them right away. Here I am now paid it off still nothing. Every time I call I get “oh we will get with the store manager and get right back with you.!” Just to wait for days on days for me to call back and get the same thing over and over. Absolutely ridiculous. Told them I don’t want to pay it off and get the ring around about the legs once it’s all paid for. And what I predicted has came true.
I can't express how amazing these people are, I had spinal surgery and needed a recliner and found one here. I called to ask if they could potentially deliver it today and without hesitation they delivered it and got it set up within 2 hours. Thank you to Kris for helping me find a recliner and the delivery team who was quick to get it delivered and set up for me! Y'all are absolutely amazing!
