Rent-A-Center

I Will NEVER give Rent a Center another penny!!! Shannon from Gardner, Ma Rent a Center handled my order. I told her I wasn't interested in leasing anything unless I had it set up so it was paid off in 6mo (same as cash, no interest) I explained to her I was to be laid off by June 2025, so she said she set it up for 12 payments, Bi-weekly with my last payment being the 1st week of June 2025. About 3mo into my lease I called to verify my last payment was the 1st week of June, she responded with no you still have like 20 payments, I asked how that happened and reminded her of our conversation and me being laid off by June. She apologized and said she's not sure how that happened and informed me I would be paying a higher price to be done payments by June. I then clearly asked her so this new amount $$, with AUTOMATICALLY come out of my account, CORRECT?? She replied YES! Come to find out after speaking to the manager, Rent a Center automatically put all payments at the minimum. They can not set it up any differently! So needless to say they will be coming to get the mattresses and my daughter and I will have to go without. I was originally going to just buy a mattress out right for my daughter because my child is priority but I trusted Rent a Center and I trusted what their Employee Shannan told me. I would have respected her more if she was just honest with me. I can't remember the last review I wrote. I would never want to hurt a company's reputation but this is just wrong. Shameful. Lesson Learned. RENT A CENTER RIPS PEOPLE OFF!!!

Huge thank you to Greg who helped me painstakingly try to get a couch that fit into my narrow doorways. He was extremely accommodating and kind. Also thanks to Jeffrey who helped me with an air conditioner and personally loaded it into my car. Great customer service! Will be back again!

The crew here is top notch and fun, a critical component when you're dealing in the rental business. Say what you will about rent-to-own services, they do their job well here. I'm no longer a customer there, but I was for a long time and they were willing to help me out when times got rough. Just remember, it's a two-way street, and you've got to expect give within reason.

I've bought several item's from Rent A Center. I've bought 2 HP Laptops, A beautiful dishwasher, and I'm buying another Laptop for my grandson. I've had nothing but excellent service, the best prices, and high quality item's. I personally like the 90 day same as cash plan, but if I decided to buy something I could not pay off in 90 days I would go with another plan. I highly recommend Rent A Center in Gardner, Mass they will work with you to get the best deal, and stand behind their product's.
